Hajiji extends condolences to Abang Jo on wife's passing
Published on: Tuesday, June 24, 2025 Published on: Tue, Jun 24, 2025 Text Size: Kota Kinabalu: Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor has extended his condolences to Sarawak Premier Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg on the passing of his wife, Puan Sri Juma'ani Tuanku Bujang Monday. On behalf of the Sabah Government, Hajiji also prayed that the soul of the late Juma'ani be showered with blessings and placed among the righteous. 'With deep sympathy and sorrow, on behalf of the State Government, I express my condolences to the Premier of Sarawak and his family on the passing of his beloved wife, the late Puan Sri Juma'ani Tuanku Bujang. 'May Allah S.W.T. shower His mercy upon her soul and place her among the righteous,' he said in a statement Monday. Anwar, Dr Wan Azizah extend condolences to Abang Johari on wife's passing
KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and his wife, Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, have extended their condolences to Sarawak Premier Tan Sri Abang Johari Openg over the passing of his wife. It was reported that Puan Sri Juma'ani Tuanku Bujang passed away at 3.34am today. "Azizah and I are saddened to receive news of the passing of Puan Sri Juma'ani Tuanku Bujang earlier this morning. "Our thoughts are with the late Puan Sri's family, especially Abang Jo (Abang Johari), whom I met just yesterday. "May he remain patient and strong during this difficult time," Anwar said in a Facebook post this morning. Last night, Anwar was in Sarawak to attend the Gawak Dayak celebration dinner in Kuching. Earlier today, Deputy Minister in the Sarawak Premier's Department (Corporate Affairs, Information and Sarawak Public Communications Unit) Datuk Abdullah Saidol confirmed that Juma'ani has died. She was 76. Juma'ani was the daughter of Sarawak's second Yang Dipertua Negeri, Tun Tuanku Bujang Tuanku Othman. She leaves behind a son, Abang Abdillah Izzarim, 45, and a daughter, Dayang Norjihan, 43.
