Major boost for Towie fans as ITV plan huge schedule shake-up ahead of channel move

THE Only Way Is Essex fans will receive a boost thanks to a schedule shake-up ahead of the impending channel move. The long-running reality show launched in 2010 and moved to ITVBe in October 2014. 5 5 5 With ITVBe now closing, the programme is returning to its original home on ITV2 from Autumn 2025. Ahead of the move, TOWIE will be reverting to airing twice a week. It will see a new midweek episode joining the usual Sunday instalment. This was the show's original screening pattern but it reverted to one episode per week back in 2018. A source said: 'ITV want to make a big splash with the show returning to its original home on ITV2 with the closure of ITVBe. "It's one of their flagship shows and it's still one of ITVX's most streamed shows with 66 million streams in the last 12 months alone. "Bosses think it's high time the show was reinstated to airing twice a week, just like it did in its original heyday. "It's amazing news for fans who will be getting double their fix of drama, and the cast are thrilled too. "It's a huge vote of confidence in the show after all these years on air.' Some of the show's current stars include Junaid Ahmed, Joe Blackman and Ella Rae Wise. 'Gutted' Amy Childs 'cancels wedding to Billy Delbosq' after fan backlash over extreme weight loss In particular Ella, 24, appeared in this year's series of Celebrity Big Brother. Original cast members Lauren Goodger and Amy Childs returned in 2024 and 2020, respectively. Earlier this year, it was revealed bosses were making ITV2 the home of reality TV, with all future series broadcasting from there. TOWIE STARS SPIN OFF WITH the announcement TOWIE will return in 2025 for two new series, it's good news for some former ITVBE stars, too TWO of the show's best loved former stars will celebrate their own big life moments with a spin off series featuring Tommy Mallet and Georgia Kousoulou. Their new show title is currently unconfirmed. The pair, who first met and found love on TOWIE back in 2014, finally say 'I Do' in a three part special produced by Objective Entertainment. The show will follow on from the success of their Baby Steps series. An insider said at the time: " ITV has seen incredible success and record breaking numbers of viewers on ITV2, so following that success they'll be shutting ITVBe and moving Towie onto ITV2, which will now be the home of reality. "ITVBe shuts in June, then the new series of Towie will debut on ITV2 in Autumn." The Sun revealed Sam and Billie Faiers are reuniting for a new series, which will focus on them and how they juggle their busy careers. Originally expected to air on ITVBe, the sisters' new series will also move to ITV2 now. 5 5

Towie's Junaid Ahmed reveals he's reached major milestone with boyfriend Joe Blackman

TOWIE'S Junaid Ahmed has revealed he's reached a major milestone with his boyfriend Joe Blackman. In a sweet Instagram video, Junaid and Joe told fans they're officially moving in together - nine months are they first started dating. 3 Posing inside their new Essex house, the pair held their sets of keys up in the air before sharing a celebratory kiss. Junaid wrote in his caption: "HOME SWEET HOME," choosing Megan McKenna's This as his accompanying track. The former Lovestruck High star gushed about his excitement for the new chapter in a separate statement to The Sun. He said: "So excited for this new journey for myself and Joe.. our dream Essex home.. we've been looking for a while now and ready to start this new chapter." The pair were flooded with support from their co-stars in the comments section. Ella Rae Wise wrote: "Congratulations to you both! Well done boys," while Lauren Goodger added: "Yay congratulations." Freddie Bentley said: "Congratulations boys, so happy for the pair of you xx," with Joe concluding: "I'm so happy." The boys have also set up a dedicated Instagram account for their property, titled @homewithjoeandjunaid. In an interview with us earlier this month, Junaid and Joe teased the property and what it has to offer. Joe, who is already dad to son Daice, said he'd be keen to expand his family and look into having kids with Junaid. Towie star sparks concern in worrying new video after horrendous trolling as fans 'ask are you ok?' He said: "We've got a dressing room, we like the luxury things in life, lovely places to park our cars. "It has everything we need, it has little hiding rooms, but I'm sure we'll use it as a walk in wardrobe. "My little boy is also moving in with us, he spends half his time with mum and half his time with me - it's going to be a lovely little family home for him to grow up and potentially get a little brother or sister from from me and Junaid in the future. "We've found it and it's all ready to go." Junaid gushed: "It's the next chapter in our relationship, f*** what the haters had to say, we've found happiness in the end. "Love always wins." Joe sweetly said: "I wake up everyday and see Junaid smile and he sees me smile and I think when you've got that with someone nothing matters, we've got each other no matter how hard it gets." He added: "It's our family home for now and then we'll move onto our £1m mansion." They also told of their plans to splash the cash on a big Bollywood wedding in the near future. Junaid said: "We're going to have a huge Bollywood wedding. Joe added: "It would be nice to have half and half, with both of our traditions, it's something to look forward to." 3 3

Reality star reveals she's QUIT hit show after two years on air and her last scenes have already aired

A REALITY star has revealed that she's quit the hit show after two years on air - and her last scenes have already aired. Made In Chelsea star Lauren Sintes joined the show in 2023, but she's now bidding farewell to the hit show. 4 4 4 When she started on the series, Lauren said: 'I'm super sassy, can be dramatic and can't wait to join the show.' Now, Lauren has revealed her reasons for saying goodbye. The reality star, 29, has opened up in a lengthy video, saying: 'There's a lot going on, online. 'I want to start by saying that my time on the show has come to an end, and some people might be very happy to hear that, some people maybe not.' Lauren said she's 'happy and sticking by [her] decision.' The star said she was hesitant to do the last season because she was emotionally done. Lauren continued: 'Looking back, I should've stuck to my gut decision and not done it because I think my frustration with many people on the show definitely came out. 'I took a break from the show because it was so draining for me.' The Made In Chelsea star went on: 'I will admit, I'm not really the quiet girl or that nonchalant and if I don't agree with someone I will say it and I think that is my strength and my weakness.' Made in Chelsea stars stage the Ultimate Reunion Lauren was flooded with support from fans as she announced her departure, while saying she wished she hadn't even filmed recent scenes. Co-star Jazz Saunders penned: 'I love you so much my girl,' and Towie star Junaid Ahmed wrote: 'Absolutely loved watching you on Chelsea!! So sad to see you go.' Lauren said the trolling and negative comments she'd received while on the show had been 'a lot.' She also referenced 'mean girl behaviour,' while hinting that one of her co-stars had been trolling her across social media. The brunette beauty ended by saying: 'I am going to end this here, I know I came in hot and I'm leaving hot. 'Everyone's entitled to feel how they feel and not everyone can like you but to those who have messaged me and been so sweet and lovely and can read between the lines, thank you, I love you guys.' American cast member Lauren has been embroiled in some feuds during her time on the show, including a more recent one with co-star Zeyno Taylan.
