'Free America': Anti-Trump protests set for July 4; What all is planned? The Women's March, an advocacy group, is organising nationwide 'Free America" on July 4, to show dissent against Trump's administrative policies on the occasion of US Independence Day. Participants are encouraged to plan various activities, including rallies, marches, street parades, art projects, BBQs, dance events, and block parties. The Women's March stated, "They want us scared, divided, and isolated. They want to prevent us from envisioning true freedom. Yet, that's precisely what we must do". They added, "This Fourth of July, we will gather in the streets celebrating freedom and joy. The dream of American liberty is for everyone, and we will relentlessly pursue its promise." The focus of the protests is to challenge the influence of billionaires, combat poverty, resist unlawful commands, and reject fear-based politics, according to their website. The Women's March has listed around 150 events across the District of Columbia, New York, Maryland, Wisconsin, Illinois, Florida, Massachusetts, and many other states on their website.
