'Squid Game' actor Lee Jung Jae's agency secures 18 billion KRW, opens doors for bigger and better productions
Actor 's agency recently secured funding of around 18 billion KRW from a media group. The funding opens many doors for the agency to move forth towards doing bigger projects and productions and to aim for better results. The news, initially reported by K-media outlet Maeil Business Newspaper, is that the companies finalised their deal and solidified the funding on April 22 through regulatory filings. The deal between the two firms comes from the need to create and work on unique and new productions, with a major focus on global K-content. As per reports, actor Jung Jae In's agency will collaborate with MBN in lieu of the investment deal and work on an 'all-in-one system' to produce new shows and broadcast them as well. The company is aiming to grow and achieve their target soon, as if successful, the company will become one of the leading forces in the Korean media industry alongside Studio Dragon. Jung Jae's company also shared a statement saying, 'The investment worth 18 billion won has laid an important foundation for further strengthening content competitiveness,' as quoted from Pinkvilla. A representative from the company shared more about the future of the firm, stating, 'We will continue to produce groundbreaking and creative works starting with First Lady in the second half of the year to take responsibility for trends in the K-content market.' About 'First Lady' 'First Lady' is an up-and-coming Korean drama series with political themes. The story of the drama follows President Hyun Min Cheol, who wants to divorce his wife, Cha Su Yeon, who wishes to become the First Lady.
