Scarlett Johansson Is a Dinosaur-Fighting Badass in Latest ‘Jurassic World: Rebirth' Trailer
Scarlett Johansson shows off her dinosaur-fighting moves in the latest trailer for Jurassic World: Rebirth. The movie marks the seventh installment of the popular film franchise and is set five years after the events of 2022's Jurassic World: Dominion. As covert operation expert Zora Bennett, Johansson leads a team comprised of combat expert Duncan Kincaid (Mahershala Ali) and paleontologist Dr. Henry Loomis (Jonathan Bailey) on a top-secret mission to a remote island where the few surviving dinosaur species inhabit the land. The island is also the site of the research facility from the original Jurassic Park. 'The theme park owners did experimental work, leaving only the worst ones here,' Bennett says in the trailer. Jeff Goldblum Sends a Message to 'Jurassic World 4' Star Scarlett Johansson: 'Don't Get Eaten' Bennett and her team aren't wading into dangerous, uncharted territory for the thrill of fighting giant reptiles; they're after the creatures' DNA, which holds vital biomaterials that would aid in making a revolutionary drug. In the trailer, Dr. Henry Loomis holds up a giant dinosaur egg and says, 'If we get this DNA, millions of lives are saved.' But nothing about the mission will be quick or easy. To make matters even worse, Bennett and her crew encounter the Delgados, a civilian family on a boating expedition near the island. At one point, Dr. Loomis says, 'We put ourselves in a place where we don't belong. Survival is a long shot,' before Bennett takes it as a challenge. 'That's kind of our speciality,' she responds. Bennett, her team, and the family face off against several roaring dinosaurs through dark forests. They almost capsize their boat as they try to outrun a Mosasaurus. At one point, Bennett even uses herself as bait so the others can escape safely. Directed by Gareth Edwards, Jurassic World Rebirth will hit theaters on July 2. David Koepp wrote the script, and Steven Spielberg executive-produced. Jonathan Bailey Helps Save The Day In 'Jurassic World: Rebirth' Trailer — DUH!
Jurassic World: Rebirth is hitting theaters this summer and I cannot stop thinking about how good Jonathan Bailey looks. The actor stars as paleontologist Dr. Henry Loomis alongside Scarlett Johansson's Zora and Mahershala Ali's Duncan Kincaid. Together, the team is tasked with getting DNA samples after the world has become inhospitable to dinosaurs. But, naturally, all the internet can talk about is Jonathan Bailey. (Relatable). I had high hopes for the Jurassic World: Rebirth trailer and my oh my did it deliver. Scarlett Johansson and Jonathan Bailey were born to play the roles of Zora and Henry, and not only are they electric together onscreen but they are so believable. And Jonathan with his little sweater and glasses? I'm not super into science and I'd listen to that man all day long. We also finally get a glimpse at the dinosaurs we'll see in Jurassic World 4 and honestly? They're terrifying. That being said, I'm gonna go watch the trailer again. In the latest image, Scarlett Johansson looks on while Jonathan Bailey examines what looks like an egg from a giant nest. And considering these two are finding DNA samples from three giant land, sea, and air creatures, it's safe to assume a dinosaur isn't far off. While revealing the image on The Today Show, Scarlett couldn't help but gush over her costar. "How cute is Jonathan Bailey? He's the best person, he's a dreamboat," she . "Does he love you too? He has those kind of the best!" I already know that ScarJo and Jonny Bailey are going to make the ultimate team. But social media's favorite part of this whole movie is Jonathan's glasses. "I can't believe we're getting a Jurassic Park movie with Jonathan Bailey in slutty glasses," one . "The T Rex doesn't stand a chance." Oh what I wouldn't give to have Jonathan Bailey gaze into my eyes while working to save the world. And nobody is going to kick butt like Mahershala Ali. I'd trust this man with my life. Are you excited to see Jonathan Bailey and Scarlet Johansson in ? The movie hits theaters July 2, and you can check out for more. This post has been updated.

Superman Creator's Estate Sues DC and Warner Bros. Over Foreign Copyrights Ahead of James Gunn Reboot
The estate of Superman co-creator Joe Shuster sued DC Comics and Warner Bros. on Friday, seeking to invalidate the companies' copyrights in several foreign markets. The suit revives a long-running dispute that was last addressed by the 9th Circuit Court of Appeal in 2013. The court rejected the Shuster estate's attempt to cancel the Superman copyright, finding that Shuster's sister had signed away his termination right after his death in 1992. More from Variety TCL Chinese Theatre To Host Benefit Screenings For California Wildfire Victims - Film News in Brief Why Would Warner Bros. Fire Its Marketing Chief Ahead of Its Riskiest Movie Slate in Years? Box Office 2025 Predictions: Can 'Jurassic World 4,' Leonardo DiCaprio and a New Superman Help Theaters Return to Glory? In the new case, the estate's attorney, Marc Toberoff, asserts claims under copyright laws in the U.K., Canada, Ireland and Australia. The suit comes months before Warner Bros. Discovery will release 'Superman' this summer, relaunching the valuable franchise and starting a planned cinematic universe of DC characters. In the suit, filed in the Southern District of New York, Toberoff argues that the copyright reverted to the Shuster estate in most of those countries in 2017, and in Canada in 2021. 'Yet Defendants continue to exploit Superman across these jurisdictions without the Shuster Estate's authorization — including in motion pictures, television series, and merchandise — in direct contravention of these countries' copyright laws, which require the consent of all joint copyright owners to do so,' Toberoff wrote. Through a spokesperson, Warner Bros., which owns DC, said it will fight in court. 'We fundamentally disagree with the merits of the lawsuit, and will vigorously defend our rights,' the spokesperson said. Shuster and Jerome Siegel created Superman and sold the rights for $130 in 1938. Siegel died in 1996; the heirs of both creators have sought to reclaim the rights since then. Toberoff has been involved in those efforts since 2001. DC sued him in 2010, accusing him of seeking to enrich himself by wrongfully working with the creators' estates to try to wrest control of Superman. The company ultimately prevailed in a 2-1 ruling at the 9th Circuit. Toberoff argues in the complaint that the previous litigation was limited to termination rights under the U.S. Copyright Act, and does not affect the estate's overseas copyrights. The suit states that under the copyright laws in the U.K. and the other countries at issue, the rights to Superman automatically reverted to the estates 25 years after the creators' deaths. Toberoff argues that the U.S. District Court has jurisdiction over the dispute in part due to the Berne Convention, the international treaty which the U.S. joined in 1988.
