Olivia Rodrigo Delivers Emotional Performances of ‘Driver's License' and ‘Deja Vu' at FireAid
Olivia Rodrigo took the stage at FireAid near the end of the evening and performed her breakthrough hits 'Driver's License' and 'Deja Vu.' 'Thank you guys so much for having me,' she told the crowd before launching into 'Deja Vu.' 'Thank you so much for being here. It has been heartbreaking to witness all this devastation in this incredible city. I love L.A. I have lived in L.A. my whole life. I find this place so beautiful and so inspiring. I have written so many songs about living here, like this one.' More than 1.4 million people attended her 95 shows, which collectively grossed $186.6 million — making it the highest-grossing tour by an artist born this century. (She'll be wrapping a few more shows in South America and England this spring and summer.) In October of last year, Rodrigo released the Guts World Tour film on Netflix, shapes around her hometown shows in Los Angeles. 'I get really nervous for the LA and New York shows because all my friends are there, and so having it be filmed was also just another element of nerve-wracking,' she told Rolling Stone in a recent interview. 'But it was really special to film that in my hometown. I think I wouldn't have it any other way. I have such a connection to LA, and LA has served as so much inspiration for me over the years. It felt serendipitous. The FireAid event — hosted at neighboring arenas Kia Forum and Intuit Dome in Inglewood — was broadcast internationally at select AMC Theatres, iHeartRadio, Apple Music, Netflix, Paramount+, Prime Video, Max, SiriusXM, SoundCloud, Veeps and YouTube. The star-studded lineup included Lady Gaga, No Doubt, John Mayer, and more. No Doubt Reunite at FireAid: Watch
The post No Doubt Reunite at FireAid: Watch appeared first on Consequence. No Doubt reunited once again to perform at the FireAid benefit concert in Los Angeles on Thursday night, where they played 'Just a Girl,' 'Don't Speak,' and 'Spiderwebs.' The band was introduced by John Mayer — who said 'You can't have a concert for SoCal' without them — and immediately launched into 'Just a Girl,' donning their '90s throwback plaid and bringing their ska A-game to the upbeat crowd-pleaser. From there, they performed 'Don't Speak,' and then brought the energy back up their closer, 'Spiderwebs.' Watch a clip of the performance below. The appearance marked No Doubt's first live appearance since they reunited last year to headline Coachella, which earned a 'Skachella' nickname thanks to their involvement and a set from fellow SoCal band Sublime. FireAid was announced after the devastating fires in the LA area earlier this month, and featured performances staged at both the Intuit Dome and the Kia Forum in Inglewood, California. All proceeds will be directed to short-term relief efforts and long-term initiatives to prevent future fire disasters. Other performers for the evening included Nirvana, P!NK, Billie Eilish and Green Day, Lady Gaga, Joni Mitchell, Anderson .Paak and Dr. Dre, Olivia Rodrigo, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Stevie Nicks, Jelly Roll, Sting, Stephen Stills, John Mayer, Earth, Wind, & Fire, Lil Baby, Gracie Abrams, Tate McRae, Katy Perry, Rod Stewart, and more.
