The 53-year-old Killings was featured in a prominent match on last weekend's Saturday Night's Main Event show, where he faced John Cena and lost. He then appeared on SmackDown, losing to JC Mateo in what could be his final WWE match. The announcement was confirmed by wrestling journalist Sean Ross Sapp, who stated that R-Truth's departure is legitimate and that he will be leaving WWE upon the expiration of his current contract. Before that, his first run with WWE lasted from 1999 to 2001 when he appeared as K-Kwik.
