'Can't stay in same room with my husband...' This actress once ruled Bollywood, then vanished for 8 years, now making an alleged comeback, her name is.. Born in Kolkata and raised in Delhi, Bipasha Basu was a well-known model before beginning her acting career. Vinod Khanna wanted to cast her opposite his son Akshaye Khanna in his 1997 Bollywood debut Himalay Putra , but she declined the role thinking that she was too young at the time. Moreover, Jaya Bachchan wanted her to play lead role in her son Abhishek Bachchan's first movie, Aakhri Mughal , but it was cancelled due to unknown reasons. Bipasha finally made her Bollywood debut opposite Akshay Kumar, Bobby Deol and Kareena Kapoor in Ajnabee (2011) . She garnered recognition for portraying negative character Sonia in the suspense thriller. Following her debut, Bipasha starred in several successful films, including Raaz, Jism, No Entry, Omkara, Bachna Ae Haseeno, Race, and Aakrosh. The actor, once known as the Bong Beauty, spent three years on the '50s Most Desirable Women' list. Throughout her career, Bipasha collaborated with several celebrities, and became one of the top leading actresses in 2000s. In 2016, Bipasha tied the knot with actor Karan Singh Grover, with whom she first met on the set of their 2015 film Alone . Six years later, the couple welcomed their baby girl Devi. Since 8 years, the actress has been away from the films and has been living her marital life and motherhood to the fullest. Bipasha's last theatrical project was the 2018 film Welcome To New York, where she had a cameo appearance. Bipasha and Karan, who are happily married for 8 years, once surprisingly refused to share a room during the shoot of their web series Dangerous. This revelation was made by singer and producer Mika Singh, who called his experience 'horrible' when filming with the couple. Speaking on the KADAK YouTube channel, Mika revealed how the experience was terrible, stating, 'I took a team of 50 to London for a month-long schedule. However, it was extended to two months. Karan and Bipasha created a lot of drama. They were a married couple, so I booked a single room for them. But, they were like, 'No, we need our separate rooms.' I didn't understand the logic. They then demanded to move to a different hotel. We did that as well.' After a long break from the silver screen, Bipasha Basu has finally spoken about her possible return to Bollywood. In an exclusive chat with Zoom, Bipasha revealed that she truly misses being a part of films. When asked about a possible comeback, she playfully responded, 'When you get to see me, you will know. I will be out there giving all the interviews that you guys have been asking me for.'.

‘Bipasha Basu stalled the shoot for three hours over an omelette': Mika recalls traumatic experience as producer, admits Akshay Kumar warned him

Singer Mika Singh made his debut as a producer with the web series Dangerous, starring married couple Bipasha Basu and Karan Singh Grover. But the experience made him second guess his decision. He has spoken often about the difficult time he had with the two actors, and has previously accused them of throwing tantrums on set and making unreasonable demands. In a new interview, Mika recalled how Bipasha brought the shoot to a halt for three hours because she wanted an omelette. ' Ek omelette ke peeche pura shoot ruk gaya. Teen ghante ke liye shoot ruk gaya omelette ke peeche (The entire shoot was halted over an omelette for three hours),' he told Shubhankar Mishra on his podcast. Asked about the production, Mika said, 'It was a dangerous experience. The movie starred Bipasha Basu and her husband, Karan Singh Grover. The last time they worked together was in 2013, in a movie called Alone. How was I supposed to know that producers are actually worthless in this business. I thought producers are the big-shots. Now, Akshay Kumar has taught me what a producer really does; they only call actors to set and tell them that the shot is ready.' Also read – He continued, 'In my head, I'm the best producer of Bollywood after Dharma. I'm sitting here, and they have a problem with their omelette on set. Luckily, I had sent my personal chef to be with them, anticipating exactly something like this. I'd told him to placate them if something goes wrong. Bipasha didn't eat her breakfast and showed up on set. At 11 in the morning, I get a call, 'Mika, what is happening? This is such a rubbish production'. I was like, 'What happened?' She says, 'Omelette'. I told my guy to make her an omelette.' Mika said that things went from bad to worse when Karan broke his leg, and insisted upon getting treatment in London. He said, 'I'm sitting here, having spent all that money on the production. Then, Karan breaks his leg. He could've gotten it treated in India, but he stayed there for three months. It was a childishly simple stunt, and he broke his leg, poor guy. I have no beef with them, but it makes you wonder why certain people aren't successful. You should never turn your nose at opportunities. You don't respect success. You think that the producer is your servant. You should worship producers, because you don't know what'll happen to you tomorrow.' Previously, in an interview on the KADAK YouTube channel, the singer said that Bipasha and Karan demanded separate rooms, and refused to perform a kissing scene that was in the script. He said, 'I took a team of 50 to London for a month-long schedule. However, it was extended to two months. Karan and Bipasha created a lot of drama. They were a married couple, so I booked a single room for them. But, they were like, 'No, we need our separate rooms.' I didn't understand the logic. They then demanded to moved to a different hotel. We did that as well.' In an interview with Pinkvilla, Mika said that the drama caused the production's budget to escalate from Rs 4 crore to Rs 14 crore. 'The shoot was set in London, and the budget increased from Rs 4 crore to Rs 14 crore. And the drama created by Bipasha ensured that I would always regret getting into production,' he said.
