The Japanese gaming company officially launched the Switch 2 on June 5. Fans of the console's eight-year-old predecessor have been clamouring for an upgrade for years. Throngs of gamers stood in long lines outside stores for the Switch 2's release around the world last week — less than two months after a chaotic rush for preorders quickly sold out. The 3.5 million sold in the first four days includes the Nintendo Switch 2's Mario Kart World Bundle, as well as the Switch 2's Japanese-language and multi-language systems sold in Japan. The Switch 2's baseline price of $449.99 US is significantly higher than the original Switch's $299 price tag. While new bells and whistles may account for a sizable portion of that hike, experts have previously noted that new tariffs imposed by U.S. President Donald Trump are also a contributor. Evaluating the impact of these import taxes also led Nintendo to delay its April preorders by several weeks. RECOMMENDED VIDEO Celebrity NHL Toronto Maple Leafs Columnists Editorials

🚨 Neymar completes stunning return to Santos

Brazilian icon Neymar has completed a stunning return to Santos from Saudi side Al-Hilal. The Brazilian moved to Saudi Arabia in August 2023 but injuries saw him reduced to just seven appearances totalling 428 minutes of action. As a result, Al-Hilal agreed to terminate his contract by mutual consent, paving the way for the 32-year-old to return to his boyhood side on a free transfer. Eu vou, mas eu volto. #ThePrinceIsBack — Santos FC (@SantosFC) January 31, 2025 He has signed an initial deal until the end of the season. Prior to his move to Barcelona, Neymar appeared 225 times for Santos, still the most of any club in his career. In that time, he scored 136 goals and grabbed 64 assists. Can he return to full fitness to help Brazil in the 2026 World Cup? 📸 KAZUHIRO NOGI - 2011 AFP
