Coast-to-coast anti-ICE chaos caught on camera

Protests against U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) are expanding across America as unrest is being captured on video after days of heated demonstrations in Los Angeles. More than 80 people were taken into custody in New York City last night after disorderly protesters threw bottles and traffic cones on streets in the vicinity of Foley Square in Lower Manhattan, the New York Police Department told Fox News on Wednesday. On the other side of the country, in Seattle, anti-ICE protesters clashed with police after gathering outside the Seattle Federal Office Building, according to KCPQ. The station reported that protesters used objects such as bikes and scooters to block exits from the property. At one point, police were seen using pepper spray and non-lethal weapons to disperse demonstrators who were trying to block vehicles from leaving the area. In another scene, protesters were captured on video pulling down an American flag from a flagpole near the federal building and lighting it on fire. In nearby Portland, Ore., federal agents also deployed pepper spray at some protesters, according to KOIN. Demonstrators there had gathered outside an ICE facility and projected messages on the side of the building that read "Defund the police, invest in community" and "Families belong in communities, not detention camps," the station added. In Austin, Texas, on Monday, four police officers were injured trying to disperse a crowd of several hundred demonstrators that moved between the state Capitol and a federal building that houses an ICE office. Austin police used pepper spray balls and state police used tear gas when demonstrators began trying to deface the federal building with spray paint. Austin Police Chief Lisa Davis said three officers were injured when people began hurling "very large" rocks, while a fourth suffered a shoulder injury during an arrest. Austin police arrested eight people, and state police arrested five more. In Dallas, hundreds of protesters gathered near the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge on Monday night. The situation was tense at times, with people throwing water bottles, fireworks and rocks at police officers, FOX4 Dallas reported. Elsewhere, in Chicago, a car drove through a crowd of demonstrators Tuesday night as hundreds of anti-ICE protesters gathered in the Windy City's downtown area. Tuesday's footage from FOX 32 Chicago shows what appeared to be a woman driving through the Chicago demonstrators walking with signs and biking on Wabash and Monroe. While most Chicago protesters were peaceful on Tuesday, some demonstrators clashed and vandalized police vehicles, and public transportation was temporarily suspended downtown, FOX 32 reported. In the Atlanta area, hundreds of demonstrators gathered Tuesday night in Brookhaven, according to Fox5 Atlanta. That rally ended with six arrests after the event went beyond an agreed-upon ending time, leading to clashes between protesters and law enforcement, the station added. "Rioters are throwing rocks and Molotov cocktails at law enforcement, defacing public property, setting cars on fire, looting family businesses, assaulting law enforcement, and burning American flags," the Department of Homeland Security wrote on X on Wednesday. "Under the leadership of [President Donald] Trump and Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem we will not back down."

Macklemore's $2.1m home raided by masked intruders who bear-sprayed nanny & demanded ‘where are the jewels?'

MACKLEMORE'S home was raided by masked intruders who allegedly stole jewelery worth thousands of dollars and bear-sprayed a nanny looking after children inside. The suspects reportedly demanded to know where the jewels were located before ransacking the home, according to cops. 3 3 Two men allegedly broke into the home, located in Seattle, Washington, in the early hours of Saturday morning via a patio door, according to a police report seen by the Fox affiliate KCPQ-TV. The nanny claimed she had her phone stolen and was thrown to the ground. One man reportedly demanded: 'Where are the jewels b***h?' She claimed that one of the intruders looked scared after she was sprayed, as per The Seattle Times. She is believed to have ushered the two men to one of the bedrooms inside the property. The masked men, who were wearing black outfits, vests, and face masks, allegedly stole jewelry, watches and shoes. Three kids were inside the home at the time and they were taken to safety. And, the nanny managed to escape the home after biting one of the men. Doorbell footage, seen by the local outlet KING-TV, showed the nanny standing on a homeowner's porch and banging on the door. 'Help, please,' she begged. She pounded the doors of several homes begging for help, according to the outlet. The nanny wasn't seriously injured, police confirmed. Cops also revealed the intruders had fled the scene by the time they arrived. Macklemore, known for his 2012 track Thrift Shop, bought the property for $2.1 million in 2014. The star has not commented on the burglary as of yet. He has been performing in Dublin and Cork, Ireland. In one social media post, he described the gigs in Ireland as a 'homecoming.' It comes just weeks after an intruder smashed through the gates of Jennifer Aniston's mansion in California. HOMES TARGETED A string of high-profile stars have had their homes targeted in recent months. NBA star Ja Morant was the victim of a burglary in December. His home was targeted while he was playing for the Memphis Grizzlies against the Golden State Warriors. Around $1 million worth of items was stolen from the property, according to cops. American football stars Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce were also victims of burglaries last year. Mahomes' wife Brittany had her designer bags and jewelry swiped. In February, it was reported that seven people were charged over allegations they stole $2 million worth of items from properties belonging to pro-athletes. The men are allegedly part of a South American crime ring, as per ABC News. The U.S. Sun has approached Seattle Police Department for comment. 3

Ex-Seattle police staffer seeking $3M, alleges affair with top cop was rumour

The former chief of staff for Seattle's top cop is seeking $3 million in pain and suffering, alleging that claims she was having sex with him were just rumours. Article content Article content According to Fox affiliate KCPQ, a legal rep for Jamie Tompkins sent a letter to the mayor's office on Nov. 26, 2024, 'to determine whether the city is interested in a negotiated resolution of this dispute.' The letter was obtained by the station following a recent public records request. Article content Article content Tompkins alleged Seattle Police Department employees began a rumour that she was sleeping with now-former police chief Adrian Diaz when news surfaced that she was ditching her job at KCPQ Fox 13 to work for him. Article content Article content 'Words cannot describe the anguish and humiliation Tompkins experienced,' Tompkins' lawyer Michael Submit wrote in the letter. 'Tompkins felt and still feels violated, degraded, and dehumanized. Tompkins is not the same person she was when she began employment with the city 18 months ago.' Article content Tompkins and Diaz have publicly denied the rumour they were in a sexual relationship despite an Office of Inspector General report said they slept together and tried to keep it under wraps. Article content Article content Diaz came out as gay during a radio interview in June 2024 after he was accused of 'predatory behaviour' and 'grooming' by four female officers. At the time, Diaz was married with three children. Article content 'It's a story that it's struggled with, over the last four years, that I'm a gay Latino man,' a tearful Diaz told The Jason Rantz Show on KTTH. 'You know, it doesn't bother me. It's more of my concern for my kids because they're going to have to deal with a lot of the struggles that I might not have to deal with.' Article content Diaz said he realized he was gay later in life and accepted that fact in early 2020. Article content In October, Diaz sued Seattle Mayor Bruce Harrell and other city employees for $10 million, alleging discrimination, harassment and retaliation while police chief. Article content Diaz and Tomkins were placed on paid administrative leave in late October. Article content On Nov. 6, Tomkins resigned from the police department. The mayor fired Diaz in December after the inspector general report found he had 'an intimate or romantic relationship with a former SPD employee (Tompkins)' and did not disclose that before hiring her as his chief of staff.
