Not Sai Pallavi, this actress was the first choice for Ranbir Kapoor's Rs 4000 crore Ramayana, she rejected the role due to..., name is...
The highly anticipated film by Nitesh Tiwari has released the first look of the much-hyped project. The mythological drama features Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram and Sai Pallavi as Goddess Sita. However, did you know that Sai Pallavi was not the first choice for Sita? Yes, you read that right! In a recent interview, actress Srinidhi Shetty revealed that she had auditioned for the role and had also received positive feedback from the makers. However, the role was later passed on to Sai. Sai Pallavi Was Not the First Choice for Sita's Role in Ramayana During a conversation with Siddharth Kannan, Srinidhi Shetty revealed that she had auditioned for Ramayana and had performed three well-prepared scenes. She added that the producers were also very satisfied with her audition. Why Was Srinidhi Shetty Not Chosen for Ramayana? Later, when the producers came to know that the movie also featured Yash, they decided to drop Srinidhi. The reason was that audiences had already seen Srinidhi and Yash's chemistry in KGF Chapter 2. Since their pairing was a huge hit, the makers felt that casting her as Sita while Yash was playing Raavan might be difficult for audiences to accept so soon after their successful collaboration. Srinidhi Shetty Praises Sai Pallavi In her interview, Srinidhi also praised Sai for being cast as Sita. She believed that Sai is the best choice for the role. About Ramayana The movie Ramayana is said to be the biggest-budget Bollywood movie ever made, with a budget of Rs 4000 crore. Recently, the makers also released the first look of the film, which has created a stir among audiences. Ramayana will be released in two parts. The first part is scheduled to release in September 2026, while the second part will be released in 2027.

Raveena Tandon vs Karisma Kapoor: What really happened 30 years back on Andaz Apna Apna sets?
Andaz Apna Apna is one cult classic that still lives rent-free in our hearts. The film, starring Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, Raveena Tandon, and Karisma Kapoor, is one of the most beloved films to this day. Whether it's the comic timing of the stars or the funny story, everything hit the right chord with the audience's heart, and even in 2025, the fan base does not seem to die down, as the film was re-released in theaters. However, there is yet another controversy associated with the film, and that is the infamous cold war between the leading ladies. But what exactly happened between Raveena and Karisma, and why did they fight? Keep scrolling to get the answers. What was the fight between Karisma Kapoor and Raveena Tandon all about? It isn't wrong to say that Karisma Kapoor and Raveena Tandon were at the peak of their growing careers in the 90s. This is the time when they were shooting for Andaz Apna Apna. It is believed that these two were not on talking terms when the film was being shot. They wouldn't even look at each other on set. Raveena even joked that they shot with mirrors so that they did not have to face each other. Some reports in those days suggested that one of the main reasons behind their feud was that both these actresses were linked to Ajay Devgn. In the early 90s, it is said that the Singham star was dating Raveena Tandon. But later, he got linked to Karisma Kapoor. The affair led to bad blood between the two, and the KGF Chapter 2 actress even went on to accuse the Kapoor lad of spreading rumors about her. This created cold vibes between the two. Another reason believed to be the cause behind their fight was their professional growth. Both of these stars were young and ambitious and were constantly being compared, which led to ego clashes. Raveena, in a later interview, admitted, "We were kids. We had silly fights, didn't talk, and then didn't know how to make up." Rajkumar Santoshi's master plan to end the feud In a couple of old interviews, Raveena Tandon herself confirmed that director Rajkumar Santoshi was utterly fed up with the cold war between Raveena Tandon and Karisma Kapoor, hence he came up with a plan. Santoshi tied the two actresses to a pole as part of a scene and left them alone in a small room so that they could sort things out. Reportedly, this trick worked, and the two actresses began interacting again professionally enough to complete the shoot. Now, the two actresses appear to be on good terms and are often seen meeting cordially at events. Whatever it was back then, the film touched the hearts of fans.

Raveena Tandon on South cinema's success: Their stories are rooted in culture and heritage
Raveena Tandon is coming back to Tamil cinema after 24 years with Vijay Antony co-starrer Lawyer. Ecstatic about the same, the actor tells us, 'I'm excited and nervous because I know I have to brush up my Tamil all over again.' Raveena Tandon(Photo: Instagram) Apart from Tamil, Raveena Tandon has worked in Telugu and Kannada as well, with KGF Chapter 2 (2022) being her most recent South release. All praise for the South industry, the actor says, 'I have always worked in the south industry, right from the beginning in '92 because I always found their films intriguing. This is not that I'm saying now, you could pick up any of my interviews from the '90s and I have said the same thing. Their stories are so deeply rooted with their culture and heritage, and they are not trying to serve the west. That's why somehow most of their films are hits.' The 52-year-old adds, 'The films that I've done there, they still believe so much in their traditions and rituals. They are rooted at the ground level, which is very important to have a mass connect. They have a ratio of probably more hits, because of the reason that they cater to what their masses want, and they can identify it.' Even after all these years, Raveena is one of those actors who have been able to stay relevant and get offers of meaty roles. Ask her how she has maintained that and she responds, 'Honestly, there's not something that I've consciously done to stay relevant. But in life, even career wise, what matters is the choices that you make and also how you have evolved as a person, that is if you have evolved with the time. It depends on the kind of maturity you have. Some people are still stuck in their way of acting and doing things like how it used to be. But as a human being, you have to evolve first. The choices kind of then automatically happen to you.'
