First Bell classes on Victers channel from July 9

'First Bell' digital classes for students from Classes I to X, based on the revised textbooks, will be telecast on the KITE Victers channel from July 9, Minister for General Education V. Sivankutty has said. The Minister was addressing through videoconferencing a workshop organised by KITE (Kerala Infrastructure and Technology for Education) for high school head teachers in all districts to familiarise them with academic monitoring platforms as part of the Comprehensive Quality Education Programme on Saturday. The Minister said the classes on KITE Victers were intended to offer additional academic support to students following changes in the school curriculum. The Minister highlighted the importance of using the Samagra Plus portal for academic planning and monitoring. The portal enables comprehensive monitoring from the bottom level to the top and issuing of directives. 'It facilitates preparation and storage of digital lesson plans by teachers and plan submission to head teachers,' the Minister said. The portal also provides access to a range of digital resources and includes tools for teachers to assess whether their lesson plans align with the scheme of work. A total of 2,684 high school head teachers from 14 districts took part in the workshop. Training for educational officers has already been completed. KITE chief executive officer K. Anvar Sadath was present.
