Mohanlal's 'Thudarum' to stream on JioHotstar from May 30
Written by KR Sunil, Thudarum tells the story of 'Benz' Shanmugham, a cab driver in a small Kerala town. He enjoys a peaceful life with his wife Lalitha and their two children, Pavi and Pavithra. ‘Thudarum' box office collections day 7: Mohanlal's thriller crosses Rs 51.5 cr mark with strong weekday hold
Mohanlal's latest thriller 'Thudarum' continues to roar at the box office, completing a successful first week with an impressive Rs 51.55 crore India net collection. The film, which opened to positive reviews from both critics and audiences, has shown remarkable hold across weekdays and is setting a solid pace in the Malayalam film industry for 2025. After a robust opening weekend, the film held firm during weekdays with consistent collections—Rs 7.15 crore on Monday, Rs 6.5 crore on Tuesday, and Rs 6.4 crore on Wednesday. Impressive Occupancy Across Regions 'Thudarum' witnessed an overall 83.70% Malayalam occupancy on May 1. Major centers like Kochi and Trivandrum recorded standout numbers. Kochi led the charts with a staggering 91.25% overall occupancy, including 95% during night shows. Trivandrum followed with 84.25%, while Chennai and Bengaluru also posted healthy occupancy rates of 88% and 76.5%, respectively. The afternoon and evening shows remained the peak slots, consistently crossing the 90% mark.
