PM Modi flags off 3 Vande Bharat trains in Bengaluru; Belagavi gets second semi-high-speed train
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday inaugurated three Vande Bharat trains running from Bengaluru to Belagavi in Karnataka, Ajni (Nagpur) to Pune in Maharashtra, and Katra in Jammu and Kashmir to Amritsar in Punjab. Now, 75 Vande Bharat trains are operational across the country. Modi flagged off three trains from the Krantivira Sangolli Rayanna (KSR) Bengaluru station at 11.30 am. There are already seven Vande Bharat trains running from the Bengaluru station, and this will be the second Vande Bharat train for Belagavi. Ashutosh Kumar Singh, Divisional Railway Manager, Bengaluru, said there was a constant demand for this service from Belagavi to Bengaluru. 'This is the eleventh Vande Bharat train for Karnataka. We are expecting full ridership on the train. This is the fastest train on the route, covering 611 km in just eight and a half hours, about one hour and 20 minutes less than other trains. This service links Belagavi, known for its medical and engineering institutions, with Bengaluru, the Silicon Valley of India. According to the Railways, the train, passing through a rich sugarcane belt, is expected to foster economic growth and provide connectivity to diverse communities. The train travels through Dharwad, known for educational institutions; Hubballi, a major commercial and industrial centre; Haveri, a growing agricultural hub; Davangere, renowned for its textile and agricultural contributions; and Tumakuru, an emerging industrial and educational centre. Of the other two trains, the Ajni (Nagpur)-Pune Vande Bharat Express will cover the Nagpur, Wardha, Amravati, Akola, Jalgaon, Nashik, Ahilyanagar, and Pune districts. The Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra-Amritsar Vande Bharat Express will cover Reasi, Jammu, Pathankot, Jalandhar, and Amritsar. As many as 6.3 crore passengers have travelled through Vande Bharat trains since its first commercial journey on February 17, 2019, between New Delhi and Varanasi. Bengaluru to Belagavi Vande Bharat train: Check route, distance, travel time, ticket price, time table, stoppages
Indian Railways, Bengaluru to Belagavi Vande Bharat Train Launch: Karnataka is all set to get another Vande Bharat Express train today i.e. August 10. This new semi-high-speed train will be flagged off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This ultra-modern train will be operated and maintained by the South Western Railway (SWR) zone. It will further enhance the connectivity between North Karnataka and Bengaluru. The Bengaluru-Belagavi-Bengaluru Vande Bharat Express will run as train number 26751/26752. It will cover a distance of 611 km in 08:20 hrs. It will be the fastest train on the route. This new train will run on all days of the week except Wednesday. During its journey between Bengaluru to Belagavi, the train number 26751/26752 will halt at six railway stations. These are: Yesvantpur, Tumakuru, Davangere, SMM Haveri, SSS Hubballi and Dharwad. This new-age train will begin its commercial run from August 11, 2025. Train number 26751 Belagavi-KSR Bengaluru Vande Bharat will depart from Belagavi at 05:20 hrs and reach KSR Bengaluru at 13:50 hrs. En route, it will arrive depart as follows: Dharwad (07:08/07:10 hrs), SSS Hubballi (07:30/07:35 hrs), SMM Haveri (08:35/08:37 hrs), Davangere (09:25/09:27 hrs), Tumakuru (12:15/12:17 hrs) and Yesvantpur (13:03/13:05 hrs). In the return direction, train number 26752 KSR Bengaluru-Belagavi Vande Bharat Express will depart from KSR Bengaluru at 14:20 hrs and arrive at Belagavi at 22:40 hrs. The Belagavi-Bengaluru-Belagavi Vande Bharat train will consist of eight coaches including 4 Motor Cars, 1 Trailer Car, 1 Executive Class Trailer Car and 2 Diving Trailer Cars. The Bengaluru to Belagavi Vande Bharat Express train has two types of seating arrangements – AC Chair Car and Executive Chair Car. Vande Bharat Express regular service from Monday
The new Vande Bharat Express train service between KSR Bengaluru and Belagavi (Train Nos 26752 and 26751), which will be flagged off from Bengaluru by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday, will have regular services from Monday. According to a press release from South Western Railway, this semi-high-speed train will operate six days a week, except on Wednesdays.
