Kurnool: Cluster University In-charge VC Acharya V Venkata Basava Rao said that the youth should remember the freedom fighters. The national flag was unfurled as part of the Har Ghar Tiranga programmr at Cluster University on Thursday. Later, he said that the people of India are happy and calling for freedom, and behind it there are many great freedom fighters. He wanted the students to bring glory and prestige to the country. Registrar Dr K Venkateswarlu said that the youth need to work harder for the country to develop. Deans Akhtar Bhanu, Nagaraj Shetty, Controller of Examinations Balasubramaniam, faculty members, students were present at the programme.

Kurnool: The Kurnool Government General Hospital observed the 15th National Organ Donation Day on Sunday as part of the Ang Daan Jeevan Sanjeevani Abhiyaan, aiming to raise awareness on the life-saving impact of organ donation. A rally was organised in collaboration with medical students, highlighting the importance of registering as organ donors. Hospital Superintendent Dr K Venkateswarlu, addressing the gathering, urged citizens to make use of QR code registration systems to pledge their organs and become life-givers. 'Organ donation is the greatest form of giving,' said Dr Venkateswarlu, emphasizing that while the human body returns to the earth after death, its organs can breathe new life into others. 'A single donor can save up to eight lives. It is crucial to eliminate public misconceptions and encourage timely decisions,' he added. He noted that many lives are lost due to a lack of awareness and that organs from individuals declared brain dead, especially in road accident cases, can provide a second chance at life to many in need. The event was attended by Deputy Superintendent Dr Sriramulu, Administrator Sindhu Subrahmanyam, Professor of Urology Dr Muthyashree, Associate Professor of Nephrology Dr Venkata Pakkireddy, Associate Professor Dr Shivabala, Assistant Professor Dr Kiran Kumar, I/c ARMO Dr Sunil Prashanth, along with the nursing staff and other hospital personnel. The hospital reaffirmed its commitment to promoting organ donation as a vital public health cause.

Kurnool: A comprehensive review meeting was held at the Kurnool Government General Hospital on Thursday under the supervision of Hospital Superintendent Dr K Venkateswarlu. The session focused on the performance and responsibilities of the ministerial staff and hospital personnel. Key topics included punctuality, section-wise performance assessments, adherence to the Face Recognizing System (FRS), and the delivery of timely administrative and patient-related services. Dr Venkateswarlu conducted an in-depth evaluation of the ministerial staff's functioning, analysing their roles across various sections. He also scrutinised the duties of fourth-class employees and voiced displeasure regarding lapses in their responsibilities. Strict instructions were issued mandating the use of ID cards, compliance with dress code regulations, proper FRS-based attendance, and strict punctuality. The Superintendent warned that any violations in these areas would result in departmental disciplinary action. Further, the Medical Records and Transcription (MRT) section was directed to ensure the prompt issuance of reports, death certificates, and birth certificates to avoid inconvenience to patients. Emphasis was placed on attending to public grievances without delay and avoiding any negligence in service delivery. All hospital staff were instructed to remain accessible during their designated duty hours and to maintain proper documentation of files and records. The Superintendent also reviewed seat allotments within the ministerial staff and announced changes aimed at improving workflow. Deputy CS RMO Dr Padmaja, Hospital Administrator Sindhu Subrahmanyam, Administrative Officer Srinivasulu, and other hospital personnel attended the meeting.

Kurnool: No matter how many tasks you have to do in a day, dedicating sometime to practice yoga can bring mental peace and a change in a person's daily life, said Cluster University Registrar Dr Katta Venkateswarlu. On Friday, a huge rally was held at Cluster University Silver Jubilee Degree College as part of the Yogandhra programme. Speaking after the rally, Registrar Dr K Venkateswarlu said that the Central and State Governments has taken this initiative to inform the people of the country about the benefits of practicing yoga and the changes that yoga brings to the human body. In this programme, Silver Jubilee Government Degree College principal Dr G Srinivas, Government Men's Degree College principal Dr Indira Shanthi & KVR Government Degree College principal Dr K Venkata Reddy, vice principals, faculty members and non-teaching staff were present.
