'Star Trek: Section 31' stars on expectations from fans for new movie: 'You are bound to ruffle some feathers'
Canadian actors Kacey Rohl and Humberly González star alongside Michelle Yeoh in the new movie Star Trek: Section 31 (now on Paramount+). Filmed in Toronto the movie, directed by Olatunde Osunsanmi, feels unique to other projects in the Star Trek universe. But with legions of franchise fans around the world, any new Star Trek projects comes with extensive expectations.
Speaking to Yahoo Canada, Rohl and González addressed process of making a new Star Trek film that feels fresh, while also trying to appeal to what people have loved about the franchise for years. Additionally, they spoke about the extensive physical transformations they had to go through for the movie.
