Chandrababu Naidu, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, held a teleconference with TDP MLAs, MPs, senior party leaders, and grassroots activists on Friday. During the meeting, he commended the successful organisation of the Kadapa Mahanadu, highlighting the collaborative effort of the district leadership. "The Kadapa Mahanadu has showcased that effective leadership can ensure the smooth execution of any programme," Naidu remarked, extending his congratulations to the leaders and activists involved. He expressed his appreciation for the ministers who, in their roles as activists, inspired others and attracted enthusiastic participation from the public. The Chief Minister emphasised the importance of promoting the six laws from the 'My Telugu Family' initiative introduced at the Mahanadu. He asserted that the coalition government is fulfilling the trust bestowed upon it by the citizens, noting positive feedback regarding the various schemes and development programmes rolled out in the past year. Naidu outlined the achievements of his administration and the upcoming plans to be communicated to the public. He urged leaders to engage more with the community and to consistently discuss governmental initiatives. To reinforce this connection, Naidu shared his own practice of participating in monthly pension distribution programmes, encouraging MLAs to do the same as part of their duty to serve the impoverished. He announced that two significant welfare schemes—the Mother's Salutation and Annadata—will be launched in June, and that women will receive free bus travel from August 15. Additionally, he revealed plans to announce a welfare calendar soon to ensure comprehensive support for all citizens.

TDP leaders accuse YSRCP of putting spokes in development of AP at Nellore Mini Mahanadu

The Telugu Desam Party leaders called upon the public to strengthen the government in the State to eliminate the Opposition party permanently. Speaking at the Mini Mahanadu held at Nellore Parliamentary Constituency level on Friday, the leaders flayed the Opposition for not playing its role responsibly and instead trying to hamper development with its false narratives. Nellore MP Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy gave a clarion call to the public to shun the 'negative minded' Opposition party and instead stand by the government that considers development and welfare as its two eyes. Endowments Minister Anam Ramanarayana Reddy and Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister Ponguru Narayana also participated in the programme. The MP appealed to the cadre to get their grievances redressed at internal forums and urged them not to rattle the 'TDP family', while calling upon the party functionaries at various levels to stage a united fight against the Opposition. Mr. Narayana recalled the sufferings of the party cadre at the hands of the erstwhile ruling party and promised due recognition to the party workers. 'We have shown the door to the party (YSRCP) that has taken the public for granted and ignored development. Now, let us completely throw them out and strengthen the hands of the TDP that focuses on both welfare and development', Mr. Narayana said. Echoing a similar viewpoint, Mr. Ramanarayana Reddy accused former Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy of telling 'lies' in press conferences and trying to hoodwink the public. He said the Opposition party deserved to be dumped for a lifetime as it failed to learn its lessons and instead is putting spokes in the development of the State. Coming down heavily on the YSRCP for trying to cast aspersions on the ruling party, former minister and Sarvepalli MLA Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy said the 2029 elections would be the last nail on the Opposition party's coffin and permanently seal its fate. Kovur MLA Vemireddy Prashanti Reddy maintained that only the TDP stood for public welfare and channelised all its efforts in ensuring all the benefits reached the marginalised sections of the society. Announcing the resolutions passed at the meeting, party's Nellore Parliamentary Constituency president and AP Waqf Board Chairman Abdul Aziz called upon the party workers to make the Kadapa Mahanadu a grand success. It may be noted here that the undivided Nellore district, which gave all the ten seats to YSRCP in the 2019 elections, took a complete u-turn in the 2024 general elections and went in favour of the NDA alliance candidates. In fact, the district attracted the attention of poll pundits for this unique feature, as no other district featured a 360 degree turn in southern Andhra Pradesh.
