Revised traffic plans rolled out in Ranchi ahead of Prez Murmu's visit
Ranchi: Revised traffic plans will be in place in the city on Thursday and Friday for the scheduled visit of President Droupadi Murmu, the police announced on Tuesday.
Traffic SP Kailash Karmali said entry of large vehicles into the city will remain prohibited between 8 am-10 pm on Thursday and 6 am-10 am on Friday.

"On Thursday, entry of small goods carrying vehicles would be forbidden between 3 pm- 8 pm and between 7 am-10 am on Friday," he said.
Murmu will attend the maiden convocation ceremony of AIIMS Deoghar on Thursday and reach Ranchi in the evening and spend the night at Raj Bhavan. She will leave for Dhanbad on Friday morning to attend the convocation of IIT-ISM Dhanbad.
Karmali said vehicles moving towards Kake, Ratu, Kathitand, Daladali and Kathal More can reach their destinations via the Kantatoli flyover, Booty More and Ring road.
"The movement of auto and e-rickshaws would be barred from Argora Chowk to Hotlips Chowk from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm on Thursday and 8 am and 10 am on Friday," he said.
Traffic police also advised commuters to avoid using the road from Birsa Munda International Airport to Raj Bhawan More from 4 pm to 7 pm on Thursday and from 7 am to 10 am on Friday and urged fliers to reach the airport at least two hours in advance.
