Sridevi started her journey in Indian cinema as a child artist at the age of 4. Born in Sivakasi, Tamil Nadu, she acted in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada films before becoming a Bollywood icon.
Her success in Hindi films occurred with Himmatwala (1983) alongside Jeetendra. With blockbusters such as Mr. India, Chandni, Sadma, Lamhe and English Vinglish, Sridevi became a diva. Sridevi's Sudden Demise Shocked The Nation
