Akanksha Haat inaugurated

Koraput: Koraput administration on Saturday inaugurated the much-awaited Akanksha Haat at Sanskruti Bhawan here, marking a vibrant celebration of local entrepreneurship, traditional livelihoods, and cultural heritage. The event was held alongside the district-level Sampoornata Abhiyaan Samaan Samaroh, which recognised outstanding contributions under the aspirational district and block programmes. Collector (Koraput) Manoj Satyawan Mahajan said Akanksha Haat will run for a week, showcasing a wide range of locally grown and handcrafted products. These include Koraput coffee, Kalajeera rice, turmeric, lemongrass oil, mint oil, strawberries, bamboo crafts, and terracotta artworks. The exhibition aims to promote traditional skills and sustainable livelihoods while offering a platform for local artisans and farmers, the collector said. As part of the felicitation programme, the district administration honoured officials at both district and block levels, frontline workers, and key stakeholders. Their contributions were instrumental in achieving saturation across six key performance indicators (KPIs) during the Sampoornata Abhiyaan campaign, conducted from July to Sept 2024.
