Panchayat 4: Faisal Malik reveals the Phulera gang couldn't ‘control their laughter' during Vidhayak ji's viral dance sequence, wanted to join in

Panchayat Season 4 might have received a mixed response but Vidhayak Ji's (played by Pankaj Jha) viral dance stole the show and how. His step with his glasses and banrakas' (played by Durgesh Kumar) slow-mo dance moves have become the subject of several meme pages. Now, Faisal Malik aka Prahlad Cha has opened up about the time when it was shot and how a choreographer was hired for the scene. In a conversation with RJ Raunac on his podcast, Faisal Malik shared with a smile. 'Vidhayak Ji is champion in himself. He is a great actor. I love him. He hits a sixer every time he enters the frame. Did you see his viral dance? He has shaken the world with his moves.' He recalled, 'When they were shooting for this particular scene, it was smoke everywhere and we were standing in a corner. I was feeling that if it wasn't for my character, I would have simply joined them in the procession. The scene was shot in four takes with about four cameras. It looked so much fun that I had this constant urge to join them to dance.' He revealed, 'There were choreographers hired for the scene. They even did rehearsals. They must have taught them some moves, but I believe 80% of the world was created by these actors themselves.' He added, (Pankaj) Jha Ji is a Kalandar. He is no less. They improvised a lot of things. Their energy felt like it was happening for real. We couldn't control our laughter throughout.'
