BRS blames Congress, BJP for urea shortage in Telangana
HYDERABAD Senior leader of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) and former MLA Gandra Venkata Ramana Reddy has said farmers in the State are facing a serious crisis of urea shortage at a time when cultivation of Kharif crops has gained pace with rains over the last two weeks, as the State and Central governments are speaking in different tones on the issue. Addressing a press conference here on Sunday, he said despite having eight MPs in Lok Sabha from Telangana, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was unable to supply urea in time. Instead of speaking on the Congress government, the BJP leaders were biding time on speaking against BRS and Union Minister Bandi Sanjay was unable to see the poor water level in Lower Manair Dam. However, the Congress government was not willing to switch on the Kannepally pump house to give water to the rain-deficit areas while huge quantities of water was flowing down BJP was also not interested in building pressure on the government to do so. The sole objective the two parties appears be defaming BRS come what may, he observed. While the Congress government was planning to harass its political opponents with the help of Kaleshwaram Commission report, the bickering in BJP had forced the party leadership to include Eatala Rajender's name in it, Mr. Venkata Ramana Reddy said and added that the two parties were making Kaleshwaram project defunct in the name of NDSA report. He also criticised the Congress government for its lack of sincerity in implementing 42% reservation to backward classes.

BRS Gadwal In-Charge Basu Hanumanthu Naidu Slams Congress Over Kaleshwaram Report, Calls It a Political Vendetta
Gadwal: The Kaleshwaram Commission report is part of a politically motivated vendetta jointly carried out by the Congress and BJP parties, said Basu Hanumanthu Naidu, BRS Party in-charge for Gadwal constituency. He made these remarks after attending a live screening of the PowerPoint presentation delivered by former minister T. Harish Rao on the Kaleshwaram issue. The session was organized on Tuesday at the BRS District Office in Gadwal, where Basu Hanumanthu Naidu, along with party leaders and cadres, watched Harish Rao's presentation—broadcast from the Telangana Bhavan, Hyderabad—on an LED screen. The presentation addressed what the BRS party claims are false allegations made by the Congress government about corruption in the Kaleshwaram Project. Speaking on the occasion, Basu Hanumanthu Naidu stated that Harish Rao 'broke the lies into pieces' with factual clarity. He accused the Congress of proving the saying 'one lie leads to a thousand lies.' Referring to Congress' earlier claims of ₹1 lakh crore corruption in the Kaleshwaram project, he criticized them for fabricating new lies to back their initial baseless claims after coming into power. 'No matter how many commissions you set up, how many investigations you conduct, or how many hundreds of pages you publish in your reports, the BRS party is ready to face all of it,' he asserted. He added that what the Congress government failed to achieve in 60 years, KCR accomplished in just three years by completing the Kaleshwaram Project and bringing water to drought-hit fields. 'No amount of fake documentation can erase this truth,' he emphasized. The event saw participation from a large number of BRS leaders and supporters, including Nagar Doddi Venkata Ramulu, Chakradhar Rao, G. Raghavendra Reddy, Angadi Basavaraj, Patel Janardhan Reddy, Atukuri Rehman, Monesh, Kottapalli Venkateshwara Reddy, Beechupalli Kurava Palleiah, S. Ramu Naidu, Ganjipeta Raju, Venkatesh Naidu, Tower Mukbal, Mahadevappa, D. Show of strength by BRS leaders, activists at BRKR Bhavan
Hyderabad: BRS leaders and activists came out in large numbers to the BRKR Bhavan in support of the party supremo K Chandrashekar Rao, who appeared for the inquiry by the Kaleshwaram Commission on Wednesday. A heavy police bandobast was in place near the BRKR Bhavan as most of the senior leaders of the party including MLAs, MLCs reached before KCR arrived at the venue. The party leaders kept waiting and some of them were seen sitting on the road near the BRKR Bhavan for about an hour. The BRS chief was in the Bhavan answering to the PC Ghose Commission for about 50 minutes. Meanwhile, talking to the media, the BRS working president KT Rama Rao said that the inquiries were diversion tactics by the Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy who wanted to divert the attention of the people from the pre-poll promises made to the people. Rao said that there were 100 components in Kaleshwaram project and out of 100 components only one and that too one pillar out of 87 pillars was damaged. 'We have doubts that the miscreants of Congress might have damaged these pillars. These are conspiracies by the Congress and BJP,' said KTR. He said that the Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy was doing diversion politics to divert attention of the people from election promises. 'For a few days he talks about Kaleshwaram and for a few days he brings out Formula E and phone tapping issues. The party will continue to raise questions,' he said. The BRS leader said that the party president would answer all the questions. KTR questioned the logic of targeting a leader who transformed Telangana into a paddy-rich green state. 'If Kaleshwaram had been built in a foreign country, KCR would've been immortalised in global irrigation history. But in India, such monumental achievements are reduced to pawns in political vendetta,' KTR remarked. KTR called Revanth Reddy a 'petty and incompetent CM' who is more focused on vengeance than governance. 'He lacks basic understanding of cabinet functioning and has to run to Delhi even for portfolio allocations,' he said. KTR accused Revanth of deriving sadistic pleasure from targeting BRS leaders and recalled his own past involving cash-for-vote scandals. 'A man who went to jail with cash bags is now misusing power to send others to jail out of sheer revenge,' he stated, warning that such politics would only backfire on the Congress. KTR affirmed that truth would ultimately triumph. 'Lies may spread fast, but truth always prevails. If they harass KCR, the people of Telangana will respond. KCR will go down in history as the leader who gave Telangana its identity and turned it into a green land,' he concluded.
