Cong spent more in promoting Kamareddy Declaration than implementing it: KTR
Hyderabad: The BRS Working President KT Rama Rao on Friday launched a sharp attack on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, accusing him and the Telangana Congress government of deceiving the Backward Classes (BC) community with false promises made under the Kamareddy BC Declaration. In a strongly worded tweet, KTR said, 'The Congress party's dictionary – where lies are achievements, half-truths are calls for celebration, and declarations are just euphemisms for deceit!' KTR questioned why Rahul Gandhi and the Congress government were celebrating the promise of 42 per cent BC reservation despite it not having received constitutional status. He pointed out that even while waiting for such approval, the government had failed to implement the rest of the commitments in the BC Declaration. The BRS leader made a jibe, asking if Chief Minister Revanth Reddy needed the 'Anumula Brothers' approval' to allocate 42 per cent BC reservations in government civil and maintenance contracts, as promised. KTR highlighted that despite presenting two state budgets, not a single rupee has been allocated for BC welfare out of the promised Rs 1 lakh crore. He demanded answers on how many BC youths in Telangana had received the assured Rs 10 lakh financial assistance and whether any progress was made on constructing the Prof. Jayashankar BC Aikyatha Bhavan with the promised Rs 50 crore. Rao further alleged that the Congress government spent more money advertising the Kamareddy Declaration than actually implementing it, sarcastically suggesting that Rahul Gandhi change their slogan to 'Jitni Declarations, Utna Jhooth'. Calling it the 'Telangana Congress model', KTR said it was all about 'promises without performance, celebrations without substance,' and concluded with the hashtag #CongressFailedTelangana.

Congress Betraying BCs, Shielding Corruption: BJP's Ramchandra Rao
Jangaon: BJP Telangana State President N. Ramchandra Rao launched a sharp attack on the Congress government during a BJP workers' gathering in Jangaon, accusing Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and the Congress leadership of betraying Backward Classes (BCs), committing 420 frauds in the name of six guarantees), shielding corruption, and failing to deliver on promises made before the elections. Addressing party workers on Thursday, Rao demanded clarity from the Congress on whether it would implement the promised 42% reservation for BCs without dilution. 'Instead of giving a straight answer, they're deflecting with comparisons to Gujarat and Uttar Pradesh. We are not against Muslims receiving educational and employment reservations, but political reservations for Muslims will harm BCs,' he said. Rao cited the GHMC elections, where 50 divisions were reserved for BCs, but 35 seats were won by MIM candidates. 'This is a grave injustice to BCs. Congress is now pushing for 10% political reservation for Muslims, which we strongly oppose,' he declared. He criticized the Congress for failing to act on its Kamareddy BC Declaration even after 19 months in power. 'If they were sincere, they would have issued a notification for local body elections immediately after passing the BC reservation bill,' Rao said, adding that the BJP had supported the bill in the Assembly. Taking aim at Revanth Reddy's complaints about not getting an appointment with Prime Minister Modi, Rao said, 'It's Rahul Gandhi who doesn't give him time. Modi ji gave time in the interest of Telangana's development.' Rao also ridiculed the Congress's recent dharna in Delhi, calling it a 'flop show.' 'Rahul Gandhi, the director of the drama, didn't attend. Sonia and Priyanka Gandhi were also absent. They abandoned Telangana during the cropping season to stage a political stunt,' he said. On corruption, Rao accused the Congress of protecting BRS leaders involved in the phone tapping and Kaleshwaram cases. 'Why haven't any politicians been arrested? If Congress is sincere, it should revoke the GO banning CBI entry and allow a full probe. The stolen money should be recovered and deposited in the treasury,' he demanded. Rao alleged that the Congress government is cheating all sections—students, unemployed youth, women, and farmers. 'They've committed 420 frauds in the name of six guarantees. The people will teach them a lesson,' he said. He announced that the BJP will contest nearly all seats in the upcoming local body elections and expressed confidence in a sweeping victory. 'We are the only party that has consistently backed BCs and given them significant representation,' he said. Rao credited the central government for rural development initiatives, including free rice, housing, toilets, gas connections, Rs 5 lakh medical coverage, and loans for women and youth. 'Roads, street lights, graveyards, and Haritha Haram plantations are all being implemented with central funds,' he added. He concluded by asserting that the BJP will emerge as the true alternative to the corrupt Congress and BRS regimes in the 2028 Assembly elections. 'The people of Telangana are ready to bless the BJP. We will not allow injustice to BCs or religious-based reservations to go unchallenged,' Rao affirmed.

BC protests by Congress in Delhi a smokescreen to hide failures: BJP
Hyderabad: Telangana state BJP President N Ramchander Rao on Wednesday termed 'Delhi protests' by the Congress party as a 'drama' enacted to deceive BC community in Telangana on the issue of 42 per cent reservations. Speaking to media persons at Ramagudam, Rao said it was a 'drama' in which Rahul Gandhi is a director and participants are actors. Rao alleged that reservations for BCs would be reduced to only 32 per cent if Revanth Reddy government provides 10 per cent reservations to Muslims. He reminded that it was Congress party which has made Kamareddy BC Declaration and introduced a BC reservation bill in the assembly. Then why Congress government is not able to implement it in Telangana, he asked. 'Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah was also present in the meeting of Kamareddy BC declaration. Revanth Reddy should ask his counterpart about implementation of BC reservations in Karnataka instead of going to Delhi to make a drama,' he said and accused state government of blaming Centre on the issue of BC reservations when it is not able to implement it. 'The previous YS Rajasekhara Reddy government had provided 4 per cent reservation to Muslims in education and jobs and no mention of political reservations. This 4 per cent reservation issue is also pending in the court. But Congress and BRS parties have adopted appeasement policy and provided reservation in politics. As a result, in GHMC elections, Muslims got 35 out of 50 councillor seats, depriving genuine BC leaders from contesting elections,' he added. Rao alleged that Congress party is not sincere in implementing of 42 per cent reservations to BCs and was levelling baseless allegations against Modi government to cover up its failures.

MP R. Krishnaiah Accuses Congress of Betrayal on BC Reservation Promises
Hyderabad: Member of Parliament and BJP leader R. Krishnaiah made strong accusations against the ruling Congress government. He alleged that the government had deliberately neglected the welfare of the Backwards Classes (BC) despite its commitments made in the Kamareddy BC Declaration. Addressing the media on Friday, Krishnaiah criticised the Congress for failing to implement the promised 42% BC reservation. He claimed that the party was shifting responsibility by blaming the central government and the BJP. He pointed out that under Constitutional Amendments 73 and 74, specifically Clause 243D(6), state governments have the authority to decide local body reservations, which means the current Congress-led government could act immediately. He further alleged that the Congress was falsely claiming that the BJP had blocked the reservation bill, despite the BJP's declared support for also mentioned that no Government Order (GO) has been issued, even after the Assembly approved the measure. According to Krishnaiah, reservations should be based on caste professions rather than religion; he argued that including Muslims undermines the genuine representation of BC communities. Krishnaiah referenced past injustices, such as the diversion of 4% central BC reservation to Muslims under the UPA government, and condemned religious-based quotas. He cited Dr. B.R. Ambedkar's views, emphasising that reservations should specifically address caste-based discrimination. He commended the Modi government for conducting a national caste census, granting constitutional status to the National BC Commission, and launching initiatives like the PM Vishwakarma Yojana to support caste professions. He also criticised Chief Minister Revanth Reddy for questioning the Prime Minister's identity concerning BC interests. Krishnaiah called on all BC leaders and groups to participate in a Mahadharna at Indira Park on August 2, demanding the implementation of the Kamareddy Declaration and exposing what he claimed were Congress's double standards. Krishnaiah stated that the Congress government lacks sincerity and transparency, asserting that only the BJP is genuinely committed to the empowerment of Backwards Classes.
