Malaika Arora reveals how she became friends with Kareena Kapoor-Karisma Kapoor: ‘It's like sister sister bonding'

Two actresses can never be friends. This is a persistent myth in the Bollywood industry, which rose due to conjecture. But in the past we have witnessed several friendships prove this idea incorrect. One such special bond is shared by the Kapoor sisters and the Arora sisters. We are talking about the glam friendship between Kareena Kapoor Khan, her sister Karisma Kapoor, Malaika Arora and her sister Amrita Arora. The four gorgeous gals have time and again set BFF goals for fans across the internet with the camaraderie they share. But how did Bebo and Lolo become best friends with fellow star sisters Malla and Amu? Amrita Arora, Kareena Kapoor, Malaika Arora and Karisma Kapoor In a recent chat with Pinkvilla, Malaika Arora revealed that this unbreakable bond began thanks to her sister Amrita Arora aka Amu and Kareena Kapoor Khan, fondly known as Bebo. Malaika shared, 'They did films together. They were very good friends. They have known each other. Back in the day, they had met and connected through common friends. They figured that there was a lot of commonality dono ke beech mei (between them).' For the uninitiated, Amrita and Kareena have worked together in films such as Golmaal Returns (2008) and Kambakkht Ishq (2009). Malaika went on to add, 'I think their friendship just got stronger and stronger. Then both the sisters came in and became part of the two of them. Then we all started. It's literally like sister sister bonding that happened over there.' Kareena, Malaika, Karisma and Amrita's friendship isn't just about cocktail dinners and girls' night outs. The four are always there for each other, no matter what. We witnessed the same last year when Bebo paused the promotions of her film The Buckingham Murders and rushed to Malaika and Amrita's side after their father Anil Mehta passed away. Bebo, Amu, Malla and Lolo are truly BFF goals!

5 of the most expensive outfits ever worn on screen by Bollywood actors

Bollywood has never shied away from grandeur, and when it comes to costumes, the price tags are just as dramatic as the performances themselves. From diamond-studded turbans to imported latex bodysuits, here's a look at some of the most expensive outfits ever worn by Indian actors on screen. Kareena Kapoor's look in Kambakkht Ishq became a talking point. The actor had worn a black dress, specially ordered from Paris by producer Sajid Nadiadwala, for the filming of the title song. According to reports, the dress cost Rs.800,000. Akshay Kumar's look in Singh Is Kinng was defined by his dazzling turban — quite literally. A real diamond was embedded in the pagdi, elevating the costume's total cost to ₹65 lakh. 'Akshay has been given a very special look for this movie. The pagdi would be the highlight of the look and would have a real diamond,' a source told Times of India at the time. Playing a mutant in Krrish 3, Kangana Ranaut wore custom-made latex bodysuits that were inspired by Hollywood icons like Batman and Lara Croft. 'All the material for Kangana's suits was imported from the same place (in France) where Angelina Jolie's latex suit (for Lara Croft Tomb Raider) came from. Rakesh (Roshan) didn't want to leave anything to chance,' an insider told Hindustan Times in 2013. Gavin Miguel, the designer behind the suits, added: 'We sourced the fabric from the same place where many Hollywood films get their material.' Each suit cost ₹10 lakh, and with 10 such costumes made, the total hit a staggering ₹1 crore. Authenticity was key in Padmaavat, and designer Rimple Narula spared no detail when creating Deepika Padukone's royal wedding lehenga. According to ANI, the lehenga cost ₹20 lakh and weighed 30 kilograms. The look took three hours to assemble each day and incorporated intricate traditional embroidery techniques such as Mukke ka Kaam, Salma Sitara, and Gokru Dunka. The result was a historically accurate and visually stunning piece of cinema fashion. When Shah Rukh Khan donned his superhero outfit in he wasn't just wearing special effects, he was wearing literal millions. 'It's a million dollar costume — that's four-and-a-half crore rupees per costume,' SRK told Hindustan Times in 2010. What's more? 'There's not just one costume, there are 20 such!' That pushes the total wardrobe cost for the film to ₹90 crore, making it one of the most expensive costume budgets in Bollywood history.

EXCLUSIVE: Akshay Kumar reacts to similarities between Khiladi franchise and Mission Impossible, ‘I am inspired by Tom & Jerry'

Akshay Kumar is among the very few Indian actors who perform action sequences by themselves. The Khiladi actor is a master in performing stunts as he started his career with action movies and did some deadly action sequences by himself. The actor was even featured in a film titled Kambakkht Ishq dedicated to stuntmen who work behind the camera and play an important role in the success of the action flicks. In an exclusive interview with Pinkvilla, the Housefull 5 actor reacted to his viral 'aeroplane' stunt's comparison to Tom Cruise's Mission: Impossible action sequence. The actor mentioned that he drew inspiration from Tom & Jerry for most of the action sequences. The 56-year-old said, 'You know where I draw all this inspiration from. You will not believe it from Tom & Jerry (smiles).' Watch Akshay Kumar And Vishnu Manchu's Pinkvilla Interview Here: The OG action superstar went on to add that Tom & Jerry is the most violent and brutal show. 'I love watching Tom & Jerry. I think it is the most violent thing. It is very violent. It is apparently made for children, but actually, if you look, there is so much action,' underlined Akshay. Furthermore, the Kesari Chapter 2 actor listed a few of his action sequences inspired by Tom & Jerry. Akshay mentioned, 'I remember Tom coming from the helicopter, hanging and picking up Jerry, so I did that in Sabse Bada Khiladi. Then, Tom is hanging on a plane which is there in Khiladi 420.' Akshay Kumar also reminisced about doing the same action sequence in Khatron Ke Khiladi, such as when Tom puts a hammock under the plane, and they both (Tom and Jerry) have a glass of wine together. Akshay quips, 'It is so violent. Please try to understand; it is a violent film you are showing your children (laughs).' For the unversed, Akshay Kumar 's 20-year-old action sequence where he hangs on an aeroplane and stands on top with swag went viral during the release of MI 8, claiming Akki did it even before Hollywood icon, Tom Cruise.
