The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department is searching for a 16-year-old girl who has been reported missing. Police said Kaniyha Lane was last seen on Thursday, leaving the magistrates' office, heading towards East Third Street and McDowell Street. CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Police are asking for the public's help to find a missing 16-year-old girl who disappeared Thursday evening in uptown Charlotte. Kaniyha Lane was last seen around 7 p.m. on May 1, near the magistrate's office, walking toward East Third Street and McDowell Street, according to Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police. $5K Reward: 'Julio' the French Bulldog still missing after Charlotte car theft, teen arrested Kaniyha is described as 5'1' tall, weighing about 104 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. At the time she went missing, she was wearing blue sweatpants, a black short-sleeve shirt, and black Crocs with no socks. CMPD said she had two ponytails on top of her head and was wrapped in a blue and green blanket.
