Kansai Nerolac Paints Q1 profit down 4 pc to Rs 215.6 cr
Agency: New Delhi, Aug 5 (PTI) Kansai Nerolac Paints Ltd has reported a decline of 4.12 per cent in consolidated net profit to Rs 215.6 crore for the June quarter of this financial year. The company had posted a net profit of Rs 224.87 crore in the April-June period a year ago, according to a regulatory filing from Kansai Nerolac on Monday. However, its revenue from operations increased 1.35 per cent to Rs 2,162.03 crore in the June quarter of FY26. It was at Rs 2,133.08 crore in the corresponding quarter a year ago. Total expenses of Kansai Nerolac Paints were at Rs 1,919.18 crore, up 3.24 per cent in the June quarter. Kansai Nerolac's total income, which includes other income, was at 2,214.84 crore, up 1.27 per cent in the quarter under review. 'During the quarter, demand for Decorative showed signs of revival, though an early monsoon impacted during the later part of the quarter. Performance of decorative was affected due to the disturbance in April, which impacted key markets in the North," Managing Director Pravin Chaudhari said. Chaudhari further noted that in automotive, demand for KNP continued to be better than the market, driven by various initiatives. Performance coatings registered strong growth. On raw material prices, he said they were 'benign", and forex remained volatile. 'The uncertainty in the environment due to geopolitical factors continued, and we remain watchful," he said. On the outlook of the Indian Paints Industry, the company said the good growth in infrastructure, core sector, as well as automobile and real estate, is likely to have a positive effect on the overall demand of paint for the industry in the long run. The size of the domestic paint industry is estimated at around Rs 77,500 crore as of March 2025, according to Kansai Nerolac Paints. Shares of Kansai Nerolac Paints Ltd on Tuesday settled at Rs 242.40 on BSE, down 0.49 per cent from the previous close. Kansai Nerolac registers over 4% YoY decline in Q1 PAT; clocks EBIDTA of Rs 311.97 crore
Kansai Nerolac Paints has posted 4.1% fall in consolidated net profit to Rs 215.6 crore in Q1 FY26 from Rs 224.9 crore in Q1 FY25. For the quarter, the company declared net revenue of Rs 2,087.42 crore, a growth of 1.8% over the corresponding quarter of the previous year. EBIDTA fell by 6.7% to Rs 311.97 crore in Q1 FY26 over Q1 FY25. Profit before tax (PBT) in Q1 FY26 was at Rs 310.08 crore, down by 4.1% from Rs 308.1 crore posted in Q1 FY25. Kansai Nerolac Paints' net profit dips 4.13% in Q1 FY26
NEW DELHI: Kansai Nerolac Paints has reported a dip of 4.13 per cent in its net consolidated profit during the quarter ended June 30, 2025. Its profit after tax stood at ₹215.59 crore in Q1 FY26 as against ₹224.87 crore it registered in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal, the company said in a BSE filing. The company's net consolidated total income stood at ₹2,214.64 crore in Q1 FY26, a growth of 2.21 per cent from ₹2,166.69 crore it recorded in the similar quarter last year. Kansai Nerolac Paints Q1 results: Profit down 4%, revenue up marginally
Kansai Nerolac Paints reported a slight decline in its net profit for the first quarter of the financial year 2025-25 (Q1 FY26), at ₹220.91 crore, down 4 per cent year-on-year (Y-o-Y) from ₹230.83 crore in the same quarter last year. However, on a sequential basis, profit more than doubled from ₹108.46 crore in the previous quarter, reflecting a sharp recovery in earnings. Revenue from operations stood at ₹2,162.03 crore in Q1 FY26, up 1.4 per cent from ₹2,133.08 crore in the same quarter last year. On a quarter-on-quarter (QoQ) basis, revenue grew 18.9 per cent from ₹1,818.85 crore in Q4 FY25. The firm's earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortisation (Ebitda) stood at ₹311.97 crores, down by 6.7 per cent over the same quarter of the previous year, the company said in a BSE filing.
