Crash in southern Wisconsin injures one, causes major damage as airbags deploy

KANSASVILLE, Wis. (WFRV) – Multiple agencies in Wisconsin were dispatched shortly before 10 p.m. on Tuesday for a report of a crash with injuries that resulted in significant damage to the vehicles. The Kansasville Fire & Rescue Department reported that the Racine County Sheriff's Office sent deputies to respond to the reported crash near the intersection of County Highway BD (formerly State Highway 75)/ S. Beaumont Avenue and Delaney Road. Significant debris was also found on the road. A red Chevrolet Blazer also had significant damage with the airbags deployed, nearly 150 yards north of the pickup truck. Both vehicles were only occupied by a driver at the time. Deputies diverted traffic, while paramedics assessed both drivers for injuries. (WFRV) – A Fire Department in southern Wisconsin said it responded to several calls on Tuesday throughout the entire day, each of varying incidents. The Kansasville Fire & Rescue Department reported that the first of the many calls came in before 3:30 a.m. on Tuesday, when they responded with a Tender and Chief to assist with a fire in Norway. Crews on the scene ventilated significant smoke from the building for roughly an hour. KANSASVILLE, Wis. (WFRV) – Multiple departments responded to a residence in southeastern Wisconsin after a lawnmower sparked a massive fire inside the detached garage. Around 4:55 p.m. on Saturday, May 10, multiple fire crews, including the Kansasville Fire & Rescue Department, were called to the 400 block of CTH BD (South Beaumont Avenue) in Kansasville. 'Avoid all burning': Wisconsin DNR warns of extreme fire danger in 19 counties on Mother's Day Crews quickly arrived and found a well-involved structure fire inside the single-story garage, described as 600 feet from the paved CTH BD roadway. Shortly after, explosions were heard, and the closed overhead garage door burst outward. After roughly 25,000 gallons of water and five gallons of foam were used, the fire was put out.
