AiAi Delas Alas brings pastries business to GMA, shares hopes for a physical store
AiAi Delas Alas was in full entrepreneur mode on Friday, as she brought her small business, Martina's Bread & Pastries, to the Kapuso Food Fair at the GMA Network headquarters in Quezon City.
The Philippines' Comedy Queen sold ube pandesal, cheese rolls, cindesal or cinnamon pandesal, milk pandesal, and egg pies—all of which were sold out before 11 a.m.
AiAi told GMA News Online that it was her first time ever participating in a food fair as they run their business online.
'Very successful and I hope na maulit 'yung fair. Sasali ulit kami,' she said.
'God is so good and thank you so much. Kung alam lang namin na marami kaming [benta], actually, madami na nga kaming pinrepare eh. Nasa 600, 700, so next time, magdadagdag kami ng manpower if may fair,' AiAi added.
AiAi also shared that she chose to make and sell pastries because it is her specialty.
'Dun ako magaling gumawa. Tsaka kasi 'yun 'yung inaral namin.'
More than that, AiAi says she finds comfort in baking.
'Dun pinaka masaya ako talaga,' she said.
In the future, AiAi hopes, 'In God's grace, to have a physical store.'
AiAi launched Martina's Bread & Pastries in 2020 during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.
In 2021, AiAi graduated from Treston International College's Academy of Pastry and Culinary Arts, where she completed a short course in Pastry and Bakery Arts. —JCB, GMA Integrated News
