Online Worcestershire map aims to get electric vehicle charge point ideas
People are being asked to drop a pin on an online map to tell Worcestershire County Council where they think charging points for electric vehicle should be built in the idea was to make sure those residents who did not have off-street parking to charge at home did not get left behind in the shift to electric vehicles, a council spokesperson map lets people mark a place as their suggested location and explain why it is needed, they Karl Perks said the authority wanted to make sure people without a driveway or garage could influence their plans.
"This is your chance to tell us where you think chargers could go," he added.A suggestion did not guarantee a charging point would be installed but would help give a wider understanding of the local needs, the spokesperson sites be assessed for how practical they are.
