Ram Kapoor walks back comments about having enough money to support four generations, but says Sakshi Tanwar and Ronit Roy do

Television actor Ram Kapoor had earlier admitted that top TV actors like him, Ronit Roy and Sakhshi Tanwar, have earned enough money to take care of the next four generations of their family. Now, in a recent conversation, Ram clarified his statement and reiterated that only if TV actors invest wisely can they truly save a substantial amount of money. Speaking to Republic World, Ram said, 'The question was how much TV actors can make, and I found that question very vague. Then he asked who do you consider in the same league as you and I answered Sakshi Tanwar and Ronit Roy.' He added, 'Then he asked about how much can you three people make? Then I answered that if you are in the top level of the television industry, if you are the top actor of the television industry and if you are a wise investor, then you can make a lot of money to take care of the next four generations. Like Ronit and Sakshi has 100 percent done.' Ram refuted claims that he has earned money to support the next four generations, but explained that some top television actors have managed to do so by investing wisely from the beginning of their careers. He said, 'TV is different than film. When you do a film, you might not get a film for the next two years, but in television, if you have a hit show, it is going to last for 3-4 years. Sakshi's show Kahani Ghar Ghar Ki lasted for eight years. Now when you know making that kind of money every month for eight years, it is a very very big amount. And if you invest that money wisely from the very beginning, then by the time your career is towards its end, you will have enough money for everything that you need, but the bottom thing is, if you don't invest in if you keep spending that money, then no amount is enough.' In an interview with Humans of Bombay recently, Ram Kapoor had said, 'It is not that television actors make as much as film actors. But if you have a hit show which lasts for 7-8 years and if you are at the top of television or making a lot of money, your per month cheque is equal to your salary for 8 years. People like me, Sakshi and Ronit, if you have been on television for 20 years and are sensible then you have made enough for at least 3-4 generations.' Ram Kapoor was one of the highest-paid television actors in India. He became a household name through popular shows like Kasamh Se, Bade Achhe Lagte Hain, Kehta Hai Dil, and more. He has also appeared in several films, including Student of the Year, Agent Vinod, Udaan, and others.
