Rennes keeping a close watch on Kasper Dolberg
According to , Stade Rennais have Kasper Dolberg (27) in their sights. That revelation comes a day after it was reported that Timo Werner (29) had drawn interest from the Breton side as well. Toubache-Ter says that Werner had also drawn the interest of Olympique Lyonnais, though he believes that it will be impossible to make that move happen, likely because of the financial bind Les Gones are in. Rennes are closely monitoring Dolberg at RSC Anderlecht in the Belgian Pro League, where he signed a four-year contract in 2023 after leaving OGC Nice. He was the 2019-20 Player of the Year for the French side. A former Eredivisie champion with Ajax, Dolberg has made 55 senior appearances for Denmark, scoring 12 times. Werner, meanwhile, is back at RB Leipzig after spending two seasons on loan in the Premier League with Tottenham Hotspur. The German international made a combined 31 appearances for the London club, domestically, scoring just two goals. His four-year contract at Leipzig expires in June 2026. Dolberg's current deal with Anderlecht runs out on June 30, 2027. The man named the Danish Talent of the Year in 2016 helped Nice reach the Coupe de France final in 2021-22. He made 74 combined appearances for them in the French top-flight, scoring a total of 23 goals before being loaned to Sevilla and TSG Hoffenheim in 2022-23. In 2016-17, he won the Johan Cruyff Trophy as the top player in Dutch football during his time in Amsterdam. GFFN | Joel Lefevre

‘Must be shaking in his pants' – Man Utd flop Rasmus Hojlund's season goes from bad to worse as star ‘overtakes' him
RASMUS HOJLUND'S season went from bad to worse on international duty with Denmark. The Manchester United striker has endured a nightmare campaign, scoring just four goals in 32 Premier League games. 2 2 Hojlund was dropped to the bench as Denmark beat Lithuania 5-0 in a friendly yesterday. Mika Biereth replaced him up front and put in a fantastic performance, scoring the opener and then drawing a red card after being fouled by Edgaras Utkus. Danish media outlet Bold claim the Monaco star was "venomous" when it mattered and he has now jumped above Hojlund in the pecking order. They wrote: "Hojlund must be shaking his pants by now. He has been overtaken." Biereth's strike partner last night was Kasper Dolberg, who also got his name on the scoresheet. Hojlund came on as a 72nd minute substitute but did not make an impact. It comes after he also struggled in the previous game, playing 66 minutes before being hooked off for Biereth in the 2-1 win over Northern Ireland on Saturday. Biereth, who was born in London and was on Arsenal 's books until last year, has also proven to be more clinical than Hojliund at club level. He managed 13 goals in 19 matches, including three hat-tricks, after joining Monaco from Austrian outfit Sturm Graz. Hojlund has been linked with a shock move to Inter Milan this summer. Though he hinted at staying at Old Trafford last week, saying: "I have a contract until 2030, so I expect to play for Manchester United. "I'm looking forward to going on a summer holiday and then I'm fully dedicated to the project that's underway. "I know I can't get much out of reading things. I know what the facts are." But he may have to contend with the arrival of Viktor Gyokeres from Sporting Lisbon.
