Actor Kasthuri and trans activist Namitha Marimuthu join BJP
Actor Kasthuri Shankar and transgender activist Namitha Marimuthu, joined the Bharathiya Janata Party at the Kamalalayam in Chennai on Friday.
Tamil Nadu BJP president, Nainar Nagendhiran, said the duo joined in the presence of FEFSI Siva, who is the president of Arts and Culture wing of the BJP. 'I welcome their decision to join the BJP. I am happy that their political journey has begun with the BJP,' he said.
