Fox News host Kat Timpf flooded with support over return to TV amid breast cancer journey
Fox News host and comedian Kat Timpf has been applauded for her sense of humor as she made her return to television amid her breast cancer journey. The 36-year-old appeared in the latest episode of the Fox Nation's show What Did I Miss alongside with Greg Gutfeld where she cracked a joke about her health battle. In a clip from the program, which she shared on her social media page, Timpf made light of her recent double mastectomy. Her joke at her own expense came after Gutfeld, 60, asked contestant Allegra if her risqué dress was taped together. 'No, I just don't have any t**s,' Allegra said. This prompted Timpf to retort: 'I really don't have any t**s.' The funny moment tickled audiences at home who also rushed to heap praise on Timpf for her attitude. Taking to the comments, one said: 'What a woman to have such a great sense of humor! You're a rock star sister!' Agreeing, another said: 'You were hilarious on this! You look great and so happy to see you again!' 'It's nice to know that Kat has a sense of humor about her recent surgery,' echoed a third. A fourth added: 'Kat your hilarious. I love when people can laugh at themselves.' 'You look great Kay, so glad to see you!' another said. In March, it was revealed that Kat had undergone a double mastectomy for breast cancer after receiving the shock diagnosis while pregnant. She was told she had stage zero breast cancer just one day before going into labor with her first child. At the time, Timpf shared a post-surgery update to let fans know she was doing well. She shared an image from a hospital bed of her legs covered by a gown with an animated 'censored' illustration over her feet. In the caption, she made a joke about how much her breast size had been reduced. 'Post-op! They're honestly not much smaller than they were before I got pregnant,' Timpf wrote said. Timf has been open about her unconventional journey to parenthood as she navigated the first few weeks of her son's life while reeling from the cancer diagnosis. At the end of February, she shared a post titled 'An unconventional birth announcement' where she detailed the emotional whirlwind of having a child and receiving the life-changing news. 'Last week, I welcomed by first child into the world. About fifteen hours before I went into labor, I was diagnosed with breast cancer,' she said. Timpf went on to assure her supporters that the cancer was stage zero and her doctors were confident that it hadn't spread. 'I woke up more-than-a-week-past-due pregnant, completely consumed by doing everything I could to get the baby out,' she continued. 'By the afternoon, I was waddling around from appointment to appointment, talking about how to get my cancer out. Timpf said that following the diagnosis she was 'crawling around the floor of my apartment in spontaneous labor.' Shortly after her shock announcement, Timpf shared an update thanking her followers for their support and hitting back at those who took the opportunity to share their unsolicited advice. Timpf welcomed her first child, a son, in February with her husband, Cameron Friscia.

Fox News' Kat Timpf recovering from double mastectomy after breast cancer diagnosis
Fox News contributor Kat Timpf is in recovery after successfully undergoing double mastectomy surgery following her breast cancer diagnosis last month. The 36-year-old reporter revealed on Feb. 25 that she learned of the diagnosis just hours before giving birth to her baby boy the previous week, saying the 'best course of action would likely be a double mastectomy as soon as possible.' On Thursday, she took to social media to share an update following that operation at Memorial Sloan Kettering Josie Robertson Surgery Center in New York City. In a photo showing her resting in a hospital bed, she's clad in a surgery gown with her feet showing and the word 'censored' written across her toes. 'Post-op! They're honestly not much smaller than they were before I got pregnant,' she jokingly captioned the shot. Fellow Fox personalities like Greg Gutfeld rushed to the comments to share their words of support. On her Instagram Story, Timpf also posted a photo of a cake sent to her by 'The Five' co-host Jessica Tarlov, with the phrase 'titty-free and fabulous' scrawled on the top in icing. In her post announcing her diagnosis, the Detroit native said her cancer was at stage 0 and that doctors were 'confident that it almost certainly hasn't spread.' She also confirmed her baby boy was delivered safely and credited her pregnancy for helping detect her cancer early. 'I'm lucky that we found the cancer so early; I'm lucky to be my son's mom,' she wrote. 'I know I'm biased, but the little dude absolutely rules — and not just because he might have saved my life.' Timpf shares her son with her husband, Cameron Friscia, a military vet and investment banker whom she married in 2021.

Fox News' Kat Timpf gives post-op (and postpartum) update after double mastectomy — including photo
Kat Timpf, stand-up comic, Fox News contributor and new mom, has shared a post-surgery update after undergoing a double mastectomy to fight breast cancer. 'Post-op! They're honestly not much smaller than they were before I got pregnant,' the 'Gutfeld!' regular wrote Thursday on social media with a photo of herself recovering in the surgery center at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City. And yes, she was referring to her breasts, but the photo showed her feet with the toes hidden by a black 'CENSORED' box. Timpf learned she had 'a little bit' of Stage 0 breast cancer about 15 hours before delivering her son in mid-February, a week after his due date. Her 'unconventional birth announcement' revealed her diagnosis and likely plan to get surgery. The baby's name, incidentally, is not Carl.) Timpf's colleagues sent her gifts and messages of support. She posted a photo of a mildly profane cake sent by pundit and 'The Five' panelist Jessica Tarlov, who cheered Timpf being free of her breasts 'and fabulous.' 'Can't wait to have you back,' Greg Gutfeld wrote in comments, referring to her role on his late-night show, where she appeared until she was past due. 'I love you,' Fox Business host Dagen McDowell added. Comedian and Fox personality Jim Norton complimented her skills, writing, 'You are always funny, no matter what's going on, no matter what the circumstances.' In a Feb. 28 video, the 'I Used to Like You Until ... ' author spoke about the mountain of unsolicited breast cancer advice she had been buried under after revealing her double-mastectomy plan, focusing on those who said that particular surgery seemed extreme for the situation. 'Every case of breast cancer is very different,' she said. 'There are a lot of details of mine that I haven't shared, but I just wanna say, you know, trust that I'm making the best decision for me and my family. I'm getting the best medical advice that I could possibly be getting. Timpf, who plans a three-month maternity leave, welcomed her son with husband of four years, Cameron Friscia, a former army ranger. In July 2024, she revealed on Fox News that she had prepared herself for all procreation possibilities except actually getting pregnant. 'First, I expected that I wouldn't get pregnant, especially not naturally,' she wrote. 'Once I did, I expected that I'd probably miscarry. I mean, I am 35, which makes mine a geriatric pregnancy, medically speaking. If you listen to some of the dudes in the comments section, you'd be shocked a 35-year-old woman found anyone to have sex with her at all!' But Timpf seemed very happy with Friscia and with the path her life had taken. 'I never wanted kids before I met him, but meeting him made me feel like it could actually be a cool thing to do. Part of it was feeling like something was missing in my life. Part of it was simply that I was curious. Part of it was that, well, I low-key felt like I had done everything else already. Part of it was, as ridiculous as this sounds, I thought that it would be funny. 'Not that the baby is a bit — like, except for in the way that everything kind of is, but you know what I mean — but more so that I know there would be lots of laughs along the way, and laughing is my favorite thing about being alive.'

Fox News' Kat Timpf received breast cancer diagnosis, had her first baby hours later
Fox News' Kat Timpf received breast cancer diagnosis, had her first baby hours later Show Caption Hide Caption Here's what we know now about new guidance issued on breast cancer screenings Women of average risk for breast cancer are being encouraged to start getting mammograms at age 40 and every other year after to reduce their risk. Fox News personality Kat Timpf learned of her breast cancer diagnosis hours before she gave birth to her first child. The "Gutfeld!" panelist and host of Fox Nation's "Sincerely, Kat" took to X in a lengthy post Tuesday to announce the birth of her son while assuring followers that her cancer is in its early stages. "Last week, I welcomed my first child into the world. About fifteen hours before I went into labor, I was diagnosed with breast cancer," Timpf, 36, wrote on the platform. "Now, before you worry, my doctor says it's Stage 0 and is confident that it almost certainly hasn't spread. Or, as I've explained to the few people I've managed to tell about it so far: Don't freak out. It's just, like, a LITTLE bit of cancer." Carcinoma in situ, also known as stage 0 cancer, is a non-invasive type of cancer where abnormal cells are found in a specific area – for breast cancer, in the lining of the breast milk ducts – but have not spread, according to the National Cancer Institute and the National Breast Cancer Foundation. Timpf has been married to Cameron Friscia since 2021 and announced the couple was expecting a child in July. During a visit a week after her due date, she received her diagnosis in the afternoon, just to return as she was going into labor by the middle of the night. The comedian and author said the hospital staff made an "excellent" audience for her dark jokes, given her circumstances, as she pitched how she would announce the birth. "Should I go with 'Mom and baby are doing well, except maybe for mom's cancer, and then maybe the baby after breastfeeding is stunted by her double mastectomy,' and then shut off my phone for a week?" she wrote. Timpf said that doctors had suggested a double mastectomy – a surgery where both breasts are removed – "as soon as possible" and that the "next three months of maternity leave" would look different than she initially thought. Still, she's "learning to celebrate everything I can." "I'm lucky that we found the cancer so early; I'm lucky to be my son's mom," she said. "I mean, I know I'm biased, but the little dude absolutely rules -- and not just because he might have saved my life." She added: "Here's to resilience, to miracles in the midst of chaos, and to finding humor and hope even on the toughest days." This story has been updated to correct a typo.

Fox News' Kat Timpf thanks fans for support after breast cancer announcement
Fox News personality Kat Timpf thanked fans for their support after she announced Tuesday that she's been diagnosed with breast cancer — and assured her supporters that she's getting the 'best medical advice' possible. Timpf took to social media on Friday to address those who were shocked by her double-barreled bit of health news earlier this week — announcing the birth of her first child and her 'Stage 0' cancer diagnosis. 'Thank you so much for all the support. Its meant so much to me, this is obviously a really crazy difficult unexpected time and I really do appreciate it,' Timpf said in a selfie video posted onto X. The Fox host relayed that many worried watchers reached out with questions after she revealed Tuesday that doctors said her 'best course of action would likely be a double mastectomy as soon as possible.' 'Trust me, there's no one for whom [a double mastectomy] seems more extreme than me,' Timpf explained in her Friday update. 'I don't take cutting my t–s off lightly,' Timpf said, adding, 'As a general rule I don't think any woman does. I find it devastating.' Timpf then said that she consulted with her team of medical professionals who came up with a treatment plan that worked for her, and that she is getting the 'best medical advice' possible. 'Every case of breast cancer is very different. There are a lot of details of mine that I haven't shared,' she said. 'Trust that I'm making the best decision for me and my family.' The 'Gutfeld!' regular stressed that the most important thing for her is to be able to take care of her newborn son. Timpf was dramatically diagnosed with breast cancer just 15-hours before giving birth to her son — though she took the news in stride, even finding a place for humor. 'Don't freak out. It's just, like, a LITTLE bit of cancer,' she wrote. 'I'm learning to celebrate everything I can. I'm lucky that we found the cancer so early; I'm lucky to be my son's mom,' Timpf wrote. The five-year survival rate of those diagnosed with breast cancer is 99%, according to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
