Carrie Underwood Embraces "Natural" Look with Jaw-Dropping Transformation
It's been 20 years since Carrie Underwood became a household name on American Idol. Fans have been following her career as she has become one of the biggest artists of our time as she's sold 85 million records and won eight Grammy awards. But one thing has remained the same since 2005: Carrie's platinum blonde hair. Now the singer has gone back to her roots, and country music fans are in shock.
Carrie took to Instagram to share photos of her new hair color, which she says is close to her natural shade. She wrote, "Well, the last time I saw my natural hair color, I was probably about 12 years old, but I thought it might be time to give it a second chance."
She gave a shoutout to her hairstylist: "Thanks, @hairbykatelin_ at @parlour3beauty for helping me get back to my roots!" and added the hashtags #NewOldMe and #Bronde.
Carrie's post was flooded with thousands of comments from her fans who left messages like, "Girl! What a rich and luxurious cut, highlights/lowlights,….you wear it well!!!" and "Carrie, this is so beautiful!! You look stunning!! ❤️🔥" Another wrote, "Best decision ever. Looking great."
Other fans suggested that this new look could be signaling a "new era" for Carrie and begged "Now let's get some new album news please 🤩"
Carrie hasn't announced any new music, but she does have a few shows coming up. Fans can see her on August 8 in West Chester, Ohio; September 5 in Highland, California; September 12 and 13 at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville; and October 3 in Ocean City, Maryland.
