Shaheer Sheikh Salutes Indian Army, Recalls Fear For Family During Cross-Border Attacks

Last Updated: As Indo-Pak tensions surge post-Operation Sindoor, actor Shaheer Sheikh shares his emotional turmoil and gratitude toward the Indian Army. As tensions between India and Pakistan continue to escalate following Operation Sindoor, television star Shaheer Sheikh has voiced heartfelt gratitude to the Indian Armed Forces while sharing his personal turmoil amid the ongoing cross-border unrest. Shaheer, who hails from Bhaderwah in Jammu, took to Instagram to reveal the emotional toll of the conflict on his family. The actor shared that his mother and sister, who are still in Jammu, were caught in the aftermath of Pakistan's retaliatory drone and missile strikes that targeted military zones in Jammu, Pathankot, and Udhampur. The attacks came in response to India's Operation Sindoor, a strategic airstrike that neutralized nine terror camps in Pakistan and PoK following the devastating Pahalgam terror attack. On Monday, Shaheer posted an emotional note on his Instagram story: 'Eternally indebted to our armed forces! My mother & sister are in Jammu… & the attacks gave us all sleepless nights. But to see the precision, swiftness and bravery with which our forces responded is remarkable. I can only imagine what the families of a soldier go through when their 'own' is on the frontline." He continued by saluting the resilience of both the soldiers and their families: 'Hats off to the soldiers, hats off to their families. This bravery on and outside of the battlefield is what keeps our country & its countrymen safe. My sincere condolences to the people who lost their loved ones in these trying times. Jai Hind." Shaheer's moving tribute struck a chord with fans and followers, many of whom praised him for using his platform to highlight the emotional weight carried by families living in conflict zones. Professionally, the actor was last seen in Do Patti, where he starred opposite Kriti Sanon in a dark and complex role as Dhruv Sood, an abusive husband. The film marked the directorial debut of Shashanka Chaturvedi and was co-produced by Kanika Dhillon's Kathha Pictures and Kriti Sanon's Blue Butterfly Films. Known for his diverse roles in hit television dramas like Mahabharat, Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi, and Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke, Shaheer continues to be one of the most beloved and versatile actors on the Indian small screen—now also earning admiration for his vocal patriotism and heartfelt candor.
