LOOK: Pembroke River Rally celebrates town's maritime past
The Pembroke River Rally, organised by Pembroke Town Council and the West Wales Maritime Heritage Society, ran from 11am to 4pm on July 19.
Boats entered the Castle Pond as the barrage gate was lowered, upholding the right of navigation on the Pembroke River.
The event recalls Pembroke's prosperous maritime history when the river was key to the town's economy.
The town's medieval charters had granted it a monopoly of sea trade in Milford Haven.
However, the port's importance declined, with the Kathleen & May's final trip up the river to the North Quay in 1960 marking the end of the town's trading era.
Pembroke Town Council said: "Unfortunately, boats are now a rare sight sailing up the river into Pembroke.
"But when they do, the atmosphere is great."
