The General Hospital fan favorite villain has returned with her sass, witty one-liners, and gift to spot the crazy in people. After all, she's known for her craziness, having been obsessed with the evil Faison (Anders Hove) for years. Liesl's also brutally honest, while going hard for those she loves, even if it hurts media was on fire following Liesl's return, with General Hospital fans praising having her back on their screens. The sometimes-villainous Dr. Liesl Obrecht () is back on General Hospital. After teenage Rocco (Finn Carr) emailed the European doc to find out more about the surrogate who carried him, her daughter Britt (Kelly Thiebaud), Soap Opera Digest confirmed that Obrecht is back on the canvas. We already know that Thiebaud is returning to the soap, although no word on what role she'll be playing. The magazine spoke with Gati about her return. The actress told SOD: The love and loyalty expressed to me over this past year-and-a-half that I have not been on General Hospital has been overwhelming. The fans have been faithful, loyal, begging me to return, continuously asking when, oh when will I return. I am truly grateful and so happy that I can bring some story and entertainment back to them again through Obrecht! It means a lot to me. General Hospital's Kathleen Gati Dishes Obrecht and Rocco's Meeting originally appeared on Daytime Confidential. Dr. Liesl Obrecht () is back on today's episode of General Hospital. After Rocco (Finn Carr) extended an olive branch and wanted to know about his conception and birth, the "good" doctor met her pseudo-grandson and they chatted it up. Her daughter Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) didn't survive to have biological kids of her own but she carried Rocco after stealing his embryo. Obrecht does have a biological grandson, as her late son Nathan (Ryan Paevey) is survived by his son James (Gary James Fuller), but Obrecht still feels a connection to Rocco. What does it mean to her that Rocco wants to connect with her? Gati told Soap Opera Digest: Obrecht is delighted to have a new relative, a new 'grandson' she can love and nurture, guide in the world with her 'wisdom' and experience. Obrecht was simultaneously very nervous and very excited to meet this young man for the first time. But also has layers of guilt, fear, grand-maternal instincts, hope of new family, of filling in the void that the deaths of her two children [her son, Nathan, preceded Britt in death] had left in her. Definitely many emotions to feel and portray! And now that Thiebaud is on her way back to Port Charles (although it's not clear what character she will be portraying) starting Friday, the fallout from Rocco's maternity discovery is sure to continue.
