Sioux City woman submits plea for deadly 2022 shooting
SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) — A Sioux City woman charged in a murder case will be entering a plea agreement.
Court documents reported 35-year-old Katrina Barnes will plead guilty to charges of voluntary manslaughter and possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance.
The possession of a controlled substance charge will be dropped. A plea hearing has not yet been set.

In June 2022, Sioux City police responded to a shooting in the 500 block of 9th Street. Officials said 32-year-old Dolorean Wade was found with a gunshot wound. He was taken to a local hospital and died from his injuries.
Authorities alleged both Barnes and Wade had been arguing all day before the shooting.
