Finn Partners with UK Universities to Expand Pathways

Finn School (Finn) has formally signed partnership agreements with Swansea University and the University of Leicester—two of the UK's top-ranked institutions—to create direct pathways for Thai students to complete their final undergraduate year through a globally recognised 2+1 Top-up Degree system. This initiative breaks down traditional educational barriers and reduces overall costs, empowering students in Thailand to earn degrees from world-class universities with confidence. Mr Kawin Panprasittiwech, Managing Director and Founder of Finn School of Business and Tourism, stated that Finn offers a fast-track route for Thai students to complete a UK or Swiss bachelor's degree in just three years. Under the 2+1 model, students complete the first two years in Thailand by earning UK Level 4 and 5 diplomas, followed by a final year at one of over 27 international partner universities. Graduates receive their degree directly from the university abroad. This flexible model lowers the financial burden of full overseas study while removing restrictions posed by the local education framework. Students who complete their studies at Finn with a 'Pass' grade and an IELTS Overall Band of 6.0 can progress to leading universities in fields such as Business Administration and Hospitality & Tourism Management. Founded in 2014, Finn delivers Ofqual-accredited curricula taught by industry-experienced faculty. It currently serves 130 active students and has produced over 500 alumni, making it Thailand's largest UK 2+1 pathway provider, with campuses in Bangkok and Phuket. 'Our students choose their university—not the other way around,' said Mr Kawin. 'We guarantee final-year placement from day one and continue supporting students through postgraduate study, career planning, and job applications in Thailand and abroad.' In 2024, Finn signed new MOUs with: Swansea University – Ranked in the world's Top 83 and UK Top 10 for Business and Management (QS World University Rankings 2025), on par with King's College London. University of Leicester – A leading UK university with strong appeal for Thai postgraduate applicants. Finn's MOU now guarantees undergraduate entry—marking a major milestone for Thai students. Dr Prinn Sukriket, Academic Director and Co-Founder of Finn, noted, 'Leicester and Swansea had never run a Top-up Degree programme with a Thai institution before. The process was rigorous. Both universities conducted detailed reviews of our curriculum, faculty, teaching quality, and alumni outcomes. The British Embassy in Thailand also supported the vetting process to ensure Finn met international standards.' 'We are proud to have earned their trust. This proves that Finn's quality is not just theoretical it's measurable and globally recognised,' he added. The signing ceremony with the University of Leicester was attended by Professor Nishan Canagarajah, President and Vice-Chancellor; Professor James Fitchett, Deputy Head of the College of Business; and Mr Paul Angrave, Director of Public Affairs. Also present was Ms Nantamas Chatraporn, Trade Manager for Education & Health at the British Embassy Bangkok, who has worked closely with Finn to advance international collaboration. Finn students have praised the programme's strong foundation in English and academic skills, as well as the personalised guidance provided throughout their journey. 'What impressed me most was the structured advice on selecting my final university—it gave me clarity and confidence,' said one student. 'The diverse environment broadened my perspective and prepared me for global opportunities.'
