Kazel Kinouchi gets birthday surprise from 'My Father's Wife' cast, crew
Kazel Kinouchi was surprised by her "My Father's Wife" co-stars and crew with a birthday bash.
As seen in Aubrey Carampel's report on "24 Oras" Thursday, the Sparkle star received flowers, cakes, and cupcakes in celebration of her special day.
Co-stars Gabby Concepcion, Kylie Padilla, and Jak Roberto were among those who attended the birthday surprise for Kazel.
"Today talaga I feel how special I am, how loved I am, onscreen lang talaga yung kasamaan ni Betsy pero off-cam, mabait naman tayo, I would like to believe na mabait ako," said Kazel, who plays Betsy in "My Father's Wife."
Kazel shared that peace of mind, health, and safety for herself and her family were her birthday wishes.
Kylie also wished peace of mind and happiness for her friend and co-star.
"My birthday wish is syempre peace of mind and happiness para sa kaniya kasi deserve naman niya 'yun... Kazel, happy, happy birthday. Congratulations, maraming galit sa 'yo kasi ibig sabihin effective kang kontrabida at magaling kang umarte," said Kylie, who plays Gina in the show. .
Viewers can expect more exciting and interesting turns in "My Father's Wife," as a new character, Vivian, is set to join the series, played by veteran actress Dina Bonnevie.
"May bago nanaman akong aawayin. Aside from Gina, hindi ko na muna siya pinansin, si Vivian na muna, pero I love Ms. Dina. I call her Mama D, 'cause she's really like my second mom kasi magkasama kami sa ['Abot-Kamay na Pangarap']" said Kazel.
Kylie also expressed her happiness at the opportunity to work with Dina for the first time, adding that she got to form a deep friendship with the veteran actress.
"Kahit short amount of time lang kami nagkawork together, we jive well together and we do really well in our scenes and I feel like I can trust her sa mga sikreto sa buhay, ganun na ka deep 'yung naging relationship namin," she said.
"My Father's Wife" airs Mondays to Saturdays at 2:30 p.m. on GMA Afternoon Prime.
