ITV axe drama starring Martin Clunes after just one series
Out There premiered earlier this year and saw Clunes play the role of a father trying to protect his son after getting involved in a network of drug dealers. Last week, Clunes spoke about the series' future, sharing: "We were keen on doing a second series but ITV aren't, it seems. "It didn't quite pull the numbers they wanted, unfortunately." Get ready for the drama to double! Buffalo Pictures has previously worked on hit shows, Manhunt and Doc Martin, which Clunes starred in. Confirming that Out There would not return, an ITV spokesperson said: "We are really proud of Out There and would like to thank Martin and the production team for delivering a brilliant series. 'We do always hope to see our series return, and we are sorry we didn't get this drama to connect with a big enough audience to see that happen.'
