"I saw some kids lying on my floor, and I was like, 'Listen, are those kids okay? Is that fentanyl?' And [his daughters] were like, 'No. They just take edibles.' And I was like, 'Okay. I don't wanna see it. I don't wanna know about it' because I am not one of those parents," he shared. "There are parents in my neighborhood who supply these kids with booze, and I am not that parent, and I don't adhere to that," O'Connell continued, suggesting that some parents do it because they want to party with their kids. "Their thing is like, 'Well, they're gonna get the booze elsewhere, better that they get it here.' But, I gotta tell you, I think these drunk parents just wanna party with these kids and that's another level of sick." O'Connell shares his 16-year-old twin daughters with wife Rebecca Romijn. And, while it sounds like he definitely takes a hard line when it comes to partying, we can't say we disagree with him. Mark Consuelos Agrees That He Is More Romantic Than His 'Non-Romantic' Wife Kelly Ripa: 'Like Being Married To A Contractor'
Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos both know who the more romantic partner is in their relationship. On Thursday's Live with Kelly and Mark, Ripa read that 'men actually crave romantic relationships way more than women do,' which she found 'not surprising' in relation to her marriage with Consuelos. 'When I think of who is romantic between us, I would say you are,' she told Consuelos. 'Do you agree?' Consuelos replied with a chuckle, 'I do agree.' Ripa admitted that she's 'non-romantic,' claiming that she has to 'really focus' on unlocking that part of herself. Consuelos agreed once again, saying that she's 'like being married to a contractor' or 'a construction worker.' 'I'm like, 'Hey, sweetie.' You're like, 'Hey, what's up,'' he teased in a gruff voice. While Ripa read that women are typically portrayed as being 'more invested' in romance than men, 'multiple studies suggest that men place more import on romance and they experience greater mental and physical health benefits from being in a relationship.' Consuelos chimed in, 'Really? Huh.' Ripa teased, 'Which I know that if you and I broke up, you would absolutely fall apart completely.' After Consuelos claimed 'that's true,' he received some sympathy from the audience, before hitting Ripa with a zinger. 'But I do feel like someone would be there on the other end just to pick me up and make sure I'm ok,' he joked. 'I'd have to get used to their college schedule and all that stuff.' Ripa and Consuelos both got a kick out of the moment, as she told her husband, 'Oh my God. Oh, dear God, I hope I live to see your second wife.' While Consuelos attempted to move onto introducing the show's upcoming segments, he and Ripa could not stop laughing, as Ripa told viewers this is her 'favorite conversation.' 'You don't understand. We have these conversations all the time,' she quipped. 'I'm like, 'What would happen if you found out that I faked my own death?' And he's like, 'Well, my new wife and I would, you know, we would be very upset at first.' It's like our favorite conversation.' Live with Kelly and Mark airs on weekdays. Mark Consuelos details the stark realities of a Kelly Ripa break up
Mark Consuelos has dared to think about what his life would look like if he were to ever split from wife Kelly Ripa – and spoiler alert, he wouldn't cope well. The television presenter has been married to his on-screen co-host Kelly, both 54, for almost three decades, but during Thursday's episode of their talk show they took a second to consider what would happen if they divorced. The moment of contemplation occurred as Kelly referred to a study that found that men 'placed more importance on romance' than women. She explained that men 'experience greater mental and physical health benefits from being in a relationship' and 'struggle more with the emotional toll of a breakup.' 'I know if you and I broke up, you would absolutely fall apart, completely,' Kelly then added. Mark agreed and responded: 'That's true.' After prompting a sympathetic coo from the audience, Mark then revealed how he would really cope if his marriage ever did crumble. 'But I do feel like someone would be there on the other end just to pick me up and make sure I'm okay. Pretty sure,' he said. 'I'd have to get used to their college schedule and all that stuff.' Kelly was amused by Mark's remarks and let out a laugh before adding: 'Oh my God. Oh, dear God, I hope I live to see your second wife!' Kelly and Mark, who wed in 1996, have three children together and their youngest, Joaquin Consuelos, 22, graduated from the University of Michigan this year. The couple also have son Michael Consuelos, 27, who graduated from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts in 2020, and daughter Lola Consuelos, 23, who is also a NYU graduate. They previously revealed how difficult the adjustment was of having their children leave home. 'We became empty nesters. We took our youngest son to college, we dropped him off,' Kelly said on a 2021 episode of her talk show. 'It was hard. It was really hard.' In a joint 2023 interview with People, Mark compared the feeling to 'a loss.' 'It was deep,' he said. 'It was like a loss.' 'When Joaquin left [for the University of Michigan], it was hard, the two of us and the dogs staring at each other, like "Well, now what?"' Kelly said. 'The first dinner I cooked, I'm not kidding, was for 12 people, and it was just the two of us. We sat there with this inordinate amount of food, neither one of us hungry at all,' she said. Kelly initially worried they wouldn't have enough to talk about. 'We're empty nesters, oh no, what are we going to discuss?!' Kelly said of her initial thoughts. But the pain quickly faded: 'The first 48 hours we were leaning into the despair and then we really leaned into the positive side,' she added. 'We got over it!'

In 2020, the TV personality previously told Cohen that she had Mark had such a healthy sex life because they 'found each other at the right time in our lives.' She added that both her and Mark believe that 'experimentation is fun.'

Kelly Ripa says 'life becomes nudity' during empty nesting on 'Live with Kelly & Mark' Show Caption Hide Caption Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos dress as celeb couple for Halloween show 'LIVE' hosts Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos dressed as this celeb couple for the Halloween show Kelly Ripa is baring it all with her tips for future empty nesters. The mom of three offered some advice about kids leaving home to "Your Friends & Neighbors" star Amanda Peet on the May 26 episode of "Live with Kelly and Mark" alongside husband and co-host Mark Consuelos. "Let me just say this," Ripa said. "The first one is like a bit of a shock. Each one, the second one, is like, no big deal. Third one, for 24 to 48 hours, you're going to be like, 'Oh my gosh, what have we done now? Now it's just us.' "And then your entire life becomes nudity in the household wherever you want. Total freak show all the time," the daytime star added as Consuelos smiled wide and the audience laughed. "Wow, good to know!" Peet said jokingly, telling the married "Live" co-hosts that she didn't "want to cry" about her eldest daughter moving "very far away" to the "opposite coast." Ripa and Consuelos, who have been married since 1996, share Michael, 27, Lola, 23, and Joaquin, 22. The couple's youngest son graduated from the University of Michigan earlier this month. 'The White Lotus' star Aimee Lou Wood revealed she's 'very anti-Botox.' She's not alone. Peet shares daughter Frances Benioff, 18, with her "Games of Thrones" creator husband David Benioff, and the pair have two younger children: Molly, 15, and Henry, 10. Peet said that she sends Frances Benioff advice over text but told Ripa and Consuelos that "I get one reply for every 10 texts I send her." Ripa related with the sentiment, saying that she "sent my kids when they graduated, all of these articles on like 'The best things people look for when hiring,'" and she said, "Nobody reads anything." Consuelos and Ripa said their kids have told them that "you were right" about "everything." During her own childhood, Peet said "it was a secret thing" that she "thought" her parents were cringeworthy.
