St John told RNZ one ambulance a rapid response unit attended. One person suffered moderate injuries and was taken to Palmerston North Hospital. A Fire and Emergency operational support vehicle was still at the scene but said no one was stuck in the bus. A photo supplied to RNZ showed the bus being taken away on a tow truck.
