Third person arrested in Kentwood homicide case
KENTWOOD, La. (WGNO) — A third person was arrested on Tuesday following an investigation into a homicide that occurred in Kentwood on Jan. 29. According to the Kentwood Police Department, officers initially found the victim, identified as 24-year-old Zy'Kerian Bickham, while investigating a shooting near a gas station in the 400 block of Third Street. Two arrested in connection with Metairie child death investigation Bickham had reportedly been shot multiple times and was declared dead while receiving medical aid. An investigation showed that an argument between Bickham and three others had led to the shooting. Following the shooting, the suspects reportedly fled. Police say on April 22, information led to the discovery of one of the suspects, identified as 19-year-old Traviun Walton, at an address on Cain Wall Road. Teen arrested, accused in shooting outside LaPlace business He was reportedly arrested without incident and has been booked into the Tangipahoa Parish Jail on one count of second-degree murder, one count of attempted second-degree murder and one count of illegal use of a dangerous weapon. Prior to Walton's arrest, the other two suspects, identified as 17-year-old Tyler Knox, of Kentwood and 17-year-old Caleb Santacruze, of Slidell, were also reportedly apprehended. Police: Tesla trucks spray-painted, damaged in Kentwood lot
KENTWOOD, Mich. (WOOD) — Police in Kentwood say they're investigating after several Tesla trucks were vandalized last month. According to the Kentwood Police Department, the trucks were in a lot on the 3100 block of Woodland Drive SE, which is in the area of 28th Street SE and E. Beltline Avenue SE. Sometime overnight, five Tesla trucks in the lot had been spray-painted, 'causing extensive damage,' police said. In a photo released by police, graffiti on one Cybertruck reads: 'Nazis always lose.' Police said they had two people of interest in the vandalism, who they were working to identify. One man dead, three wanted in fatal Kentwood gas station shooting
KENTWOOD, La. (WGNO) — A man is dead following an argument turned shooting in Kentwood, according to officers. On Wednesday, Jan. 29, Kentwood Police Department officers were called to a gas station in the 400 block of Third Street in response to a shooting in the area. Woman hospitalized after car crashes into Metairie canal: JPSO Upon arrival, officers reported finding 24-year-old Zykerien Bickham on the scene suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. They said despite rendering aid, Bickham was pronounced deceased. An investigation revealed Bickham had been involved in an argument with three other subjects when one of them allegedly pulled out a gun and began to shoot. He was hit and officers said the three subjects fled the scene on foot.
