Kerala Urban Conclave 2025 to be held in Kochi on Sept 12 & 13
Kochi: Kerala Urban Conclave 2025, hosted by Kochi corporation and state govt, is scheduled to take place in Kochi on Sept 12 and 13. Conclave will focus on various aspects of urban development, including discussions on Kerala urban policy commission report.
This report, which provides a comprehensive analysis of urban governance, development and planning in Kerala along with necessary recommendations, is currently under consideration by state govt. Delegates attending the conclave will deliberate on the report and propose practical implementations of its recommendations.
A meeting to form reception committee for the successful conduct of the conclave was held at Ernakulam Town Hall on Monday.
Mayor M Anilkumar presided over the meeting, which was inaugurated by LSG minister M B Rajesh. "Many stakeholders including experts and people's representatives will take part in brainstorming sessions to be held over two days. Discussions will be held on various topics related to urban space like infrastructure, finance and waste management.
Chief minister will attend the meeting," Anilkumar said.
Thiruvananthapuram mayor Arya Rajendran; GCDA chairman K Chandran Pillai; K J Maxi, MLA; T J Vinod, MLA; and local self-govt special secretary Adheela Abdulla spoke at the meeting to form reception committee.
