Actor R Madhavan expressed his grief over the stampede outside Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, which left at least 11 people dead and 50 injured. Madhavan took to Instagram stories, where he shared the official statement by Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) posted on the social media platform. The statement read: 'RCB mourns the tragic loss of lives and extend our heartfelt condolences to the affected families. Immediately upon being made aware of the situation, we promptly amended our program, and followed, the guidance and advice of the local administration. We urge all our supporters to please stay safe." The actor captioned the statement: 'This is so heartbreaking. Heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families. The stampede took place after a huge crowd of fans gathered to greet the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) after winning the IPL as the team beat Punjab Kings in the IPL 2025 final, winning their first trophy in the league's 18-year history. On June 4, the Karnataka government said that at least 11 people have been killed and over 30 injured in the stampede near the Chinnaswamy Stadium here on Wednesday as a massive crowd turned up for the celebration event of the RCB's first-ever IPL trophy victory. The government has announced Rs 10 lakh compensation for the families of the deceased and also ordered a magisterial probe. The film also stars Akshay Kumar and Ananya Panday. Karan Johar Calls Bollywood A Beautiful Place: 'It Has Given Me Everything'

Last Updated: For Karan Johar, the film industry has shaped his identity. Karan Johar has not only made headlines with his films but also with his outspoken views on the industry over the years. Recently, Karan reaffirmed his commitment to Bollywood, stating that he has no intention of leaving it. Describing the industry as 'the most beautiful place" that has given him everything, he responded to critics by pointing out that even those who condemn Bollywood are, in some way, still connected to it. Karan Johar recently sat down with podcaster Raj Shamani for a candid conversation about filmmaking. When asked if he would ever consider leaving the industry, Karan confidently replied, 'No, I have no doubt… I want to die while I'm still making movies. I want to die on a set." Karan Johar acknowledged that while the fear of failure still lingers, it hasn't materialised yet, and confronting the worst-case scenario helps ease that anxiety. Reflecting on the loss of his father at the age of 21, he shared that no grief since then has come close to that depth, making the concerns of trolling and worry feel insignificant in comparison. Expressing his love for the industry, Karan Johar said, 'I love this industry; it has given me everything. Where else can you sing, dance, laugh, and cry, and still call it work? It's the most beautiful place in the world, whether it's Bollywood or the Indian film industry." For Karan the industry has given his identity and it will remain the most cherished place no matter what others say. He added, 'the people who criticise the industry, they themselves take support from it and don't even realise that what they're saying and doing is also part of this industry. I feel it's the most beautiful place." On the work front, Karan Johar most recently produced Kesari Chapter 2: The Untold Story of Jallianwala Bagh, featuring Akshay Kumar, R Madhavan and Ananya Panday in key roles. The film, which hit theatres on April 18, has performed strongly at the box office. Next, Karan is set to produce the sequel to Dhadak, titled Dhadak 2, starring Triptii Dimri and Siddhant Chaturvedi in lead roles. First Published:

Bhool Chuk Maaf Box Office Collection Day 1: Rajkummar Rao's Film Outperforms Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video, Lags Behind Stree 2

New Delhi: Despite multiple delays, a legal tussle with PVR and mixed reviews, Rajkummar Rao and Wamiqa Gabbi's Bhool Chuk Maaf opened to decent numbers at the box office. As per Sacnilk, the film earned Rs 6.75 crore on its opening day. While the film managed a solid start, it did not surpass the opening day numbers of some recent releases. Akshay Kumar's Kesari Chapter 2: The Untold Story of Jallianwala Bagh earned Rs 7.75 crore on Day 1 and Sunny Deol's Jaat collected Rs 9.5 crore. However, Bhool Chuk Maaf fared better than John Abraham's The Diplomat (Rs 4 crore) and Shahid Kapoor's Deva (Rs 5.5 crore). The film also competed with Sooraj Pancholi's Kesari Veer, which released on the same day but had a weak start with Rs 25 lakh. In comparison to other Rajkummar Rao films, Bhool Chuk Maaf outperformed Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video (Rs 5.5 crore) and Srikanth (Rs 2.25 crore). It matched the opening day collection of Mr and Mrs Mahi and continues to trail behind Rao's biggest opener, Stree 2, which earned Rs 51 crore on its first day. Bhool Chuk Maaf recorded an overall 19.36% occupancy across India on its opening day. Morning shows began with 9.4% occupancy, which increased through the day, peaking at 31.27% in the evening. The film saw its highest turnout in the National Capital Region (21.5%), followed by Bengaluru (25%), Mumbai (19.5%) and Pune (17.75%). The film is expected to release on OTT within two weeks, which may impact its long-term box office run. Directed by Karan Sharma and produced by Dinesh Vijan's Maddock Films, Bhool Chuk Maaf also stars Seema Pahwa, Sanjay Mishra, Zakir Hussain and Raghubir Yadav.

Bhool Chuk Maaf box office collection day 1: Despite much back and forth between a theatrical and OTT release, a legal dispute with a major cinema chain, and mixed reviews from critics, Rajkummar Rao and Wamiqa Gabbi's Bhool Chuk Maaf opened to decent numbers at the box office on Friday. According to Sacnilk, the film earned Rs 6.75 crore on its opening day.
