Cross, collection plates stolen from two ‘religious establishments' in N.B.

Police are investigating after someone broke into two 'religious establishments' in the Maple Grove area of New Brunswick and stole several items. The RCMP believes the thefts happened at a religious establishment on Road 625 in Maple Grove sometime between June 20 and June 25 and at another location on Main Street in Stanley on June 22. Police say the person, or persons, broke into both locations and stole several brass items, including the following: 12-inch cross collection plates candle holder vases communion silverware Police say no one was inside the buildings at the time of the thefts. Investigators are asking anyone who lives in the area and witnessed suspicious activity between June 20 and June 25, or who may have surveillance footage from the area at the time, to contact the Keswick RCMP at 506-452-4300. Man, 21, dies after crash in Durham Bridge

A 21-year-old man from Noonan, N.B., is dead following a single-vehicle crash in Durham Bridge early Saturday, according to the RCMP. Keswick RCMP, paramedics and the Nashwaak Valley Fire Department responded to a report of a crash on Route 148 shortly after 3 a.m. Police believe the driver, travelling southbound on Route 148, lost control of his vehicle, left the roadway and was ejected. The driver, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, died at the crash scene. RCMP say an investigation has begun.

Man killed in crash north of Fredericton

An RCMP vehicle is seen in this file photo. (CTV News Regina) A New Brunswick man was killed in an early morning collision north of Fredericton. RCMP said officers were called shortly after 3 a.m. Saturday to a single vehicle crash on Route 148 in Durham Bridge. Police said it's believed the driver lost control, left the roadway, and was ejected from the vehicle. The driver, a 21-year-old Noonan man, was the only person in the vehicle at the time. He died at the scene as a result of his injuries. Keswick RCMP attended the scene along with the Nashwaak Valley Fire Department and Ambulance New Brunswick. Police said an autopsy will be scheduled to determine the man's exact cause of death. The investigation is ongoing. Durham Bridge is approximately 25 kilometres north of Fredericton.
