In March 2020 Sportscotland announced plans to close the centre following that summer's programme of activities, following a review of the emergence of Covid-19 then forced the summer plans to be scrapped, and the decision to close it was then confirmed in September of the courses for children offered there were then moved to Largs on the mainland. In March, North Ayrshire Council gave planning consent for 34 glamping pods, the creation of a kiosk and campervan Bell said interested parties should make their own planning inquiries with North Ayrshire Council. The auction will be held online on 21 August at 14:30.

A former anti-aircraft operations room in the west of Scotland could be turned into a home after the building was listed for two-storey structure was built about 1950 near the village of Inverkip, five miles south of Greenock. Cops nab homeless man and accomplice for fatal beatdown of Bronx man, 60

Police have arrested a homeless man and his accomplice for beating a 60-year-old man to death in the Bronx last month. Suspects Nixon Gordon, 25, and Junior Mills, 40, were charged with manslaughter and assault for the May 18 beatdown that later killed victim Kevin Bell. Officers responding to a 911 call found Bell badly injured near Elliot Place and Walton Ave. in Mt. Eden at about 12:05 a.m., cops said. Medics rushed the victim to BronxCare Health System where he was later pronounced dead. The city medical examiner's office ruled Bell's death a homicide days later. Police nabbed Mills Monday, and he was ordered held without bail at his arraignment. He is set to return to court on June 30, Department of Correction records show. Cops arrested Gordon, who is homeless, on Friday. His arraignment was pending Saturday morning.
