SUX Fly & Drive fly in, car show, and pancake breakfast happening Saturday

SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) — A combination fly in, car show and pancake breakfast will be taking place this coming weekend. The SUX Fly & Drive is taking place Saturday, May 3, starting at 8 a.m. at the northeast corner of Corner of Sioux Gateway Airfield Mid America Museum of Aviation & Transportation at 2600 Expedition Ct in Sioux City. The day starts with the pancake breakfast from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Pancakes, sausage, orange juice, and coffee will be offered. There will also be raffle taking place. Payment for the breakfast will include entrance to the museum. The car show will then take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. with all classes of vehicle welcome. Registration for the car show will take place in the museum and includes a pancake breakfast. Comedian Brad Williams to return to Sioux City And all morning pilots can fly into SUX. Pilots will want to ask the tower for direction to Hawthorn Global who will then shuttle them to the Museum. The PIC will get a free breakfast, while additional passengers can buy tickets at the event. There will also be Young Eagle Flights, with free rides to introduce children to aviation. That will happen from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. That is taking place at Hawthorn Global Aviation Services at 5815 Mitchel St. with landing Proceeds from the event will go towards the museum. SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) — In a press conference on Wednesday, the Mid America Museum of Aviation and Transportation unveiled its summer schedule. Events include the return of Tennis Shoes on the Tarmac and Junior Pilot Camp. Students will explore aviation career opportunities while learning about basic aeronautics, conducting hands-on experiments demonstrating the forces of flight, and much more. Hunt Elementary students compose music with Sioux City Symphony 'It's a really cool experience for all of them,' the museum's executive director Kevin Blosch said. 'Nobody has ever been disappointed with the classes. [They're] super fun and a great way to get them off the computers and out of the house in the summertime.'
