Tom Brady's Fox broadcast schedule expected to start in Washington, Kansas City and Chicago: Source
The second year of the Tom Brady broadcasting experience will begin in the nation's capital. Fox's top NFL team — Brady, Kevin Burkhardt, Erin Andrews and Tom Rinaldi — will call the New York Giants at Washington Commanders game at 1:00 p.m. ET on Sept. 7, the first Sunday of the regular season. The following week, the crew will be in Kansas City for one of Fox's biggest early season games — a Super Bowl LIX rematch between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Chiefs. Advertisement It hasn't been announced yet but the team is expected to be in Chicago for the Week 3 game between the Dallas Cowboys and Bears, per a source briefed on Fox Sports' NFL plans who spoke on condition of anonymity because the network hasn't said anything publicly. Prior to the schedule release, Fox asked the NFL for more variety among the teams in its 4:25 p.m. ET Sunday window. Fox has long relied on the Cowboys in this late-afternoon window (the most-watched time slot on television), but this year schedule on Fox leans into more teams in the late afternoon, including the Eagles-Chiefs in Week 2. 'I think CBS has actually had good success having their first doubleheader be in Week 2 the last couple years, so we asked to move off Week 1 as the doubleheader,' Mike Mulvihill, the head of insights and analytics for Fox Sports, told The Athletic earlier this year. 'It's fine for a single-header, and we're coming back with our first really special game of the year (Philadelphia at Kansas City).' The Week 2 game for Fox should set the network up with its first big viewership number. The Super Bowl LIX broadcast of Philadelphia's 40-22 rout of Kansas City drew an average audience of 127.7 million viewers across Fox, Fox Deportes, Tubi, Telemundo and NFL digital properties, the most-watched Super Bowl of all time, topping last year's record Super Bowl audience of 123.7 million viewers for CBS. The GOAT will see the Commanders live in Week 1
FOX has announced its game announcers for the 2025 NFL No. 1 crew — Kevin Burkhardt, Tom Brady, Erin Andrews, and Tom Rinaldi — will open with Giants-Commanders in Week 1, then call Eagles-Chiefs in Week 2, and Cowboys-Bears in Week 3. The Washington Commanders are must-see TV in 2025. Yes, you read that correctly. One year after going 12-5 and reaching the NFC championship for the first time in 33 years, the Commanders will have several prime-time games this season. In addition to five prime-time games, Washington has three standalone games. What is a standalone game? A game played at a time other than 1 or 4 p.m. on Sunday or traditional prime-time games. The Commanders play the Miami Dolphins in Madrid on a Sunday morning, the Eagles on a Saturday the week before Christmas, and the Dallas Cowboys on Christmas Day. But even Washington's 1 p.m. games are drawing the interest of others. The Commanders' Week 1 game against the New York Giants has earned "Game of the Week" honors from Fox. That means, Fox's No. 1 broadcasting team, featuring the GOAT Tom Brady, will be in Landover for the NFC East showdown. Joining Brady will be play-by-play announcer Kevin Burkhardt and sideline reporters Erin Andrews and Tom Rinaldi. The Giants were 3-14 last season. While they should be much better in 2025, Brady isn't in town for the New York Giants. It's all about Washington quarterback Jayden Daniels and the expectations surrounding the Commanders in 2025.

Tom Brady to call New York Giants-Washington Commanders in Week 1
Tom Brady may have just been honored with a statue this week by his former team, the New England Patriots, but his ties to the New York Giants are still fairly strong. Brady, who is FOX Sports' top NFL game analyst alongside play-by-play man Kevin Burkhardt, will be in the booth for the Giants' Week 1 game against Jayden Daniels and the Washington Commanders down in Landover. FOX decided to send their No. 1 team to Washington, perhaps to get an early look at the transformed Giants and the rising Commanders, who were one game from the Super Bowl last year. From Pro Football Talk: Brady will be in the broadcast booth at Northwest Stadium with Kevin Burkhardt for Fox Sports' broadcast of the Giants and the Commanders. Sideline reporters Erin Andrews and Tom Rinaldi will also be at the matchup between NFC East clubs. The same crew will also call Fox's marquee matchup in Week 2. They will be in Kansas City for a Super Bowl rematch between the Eagles and the Chiefs. Brady has famously sparred with fans of the Giants and Jets over the years. He has a different relationship with both. He is still stinging from his two Super Bowl losses at the hands of Big Blue, but he dominated the Jets, beating them in 30 of the 37 games he played against them.

FOX Announces Broadcasters For 2025 NFL Season, Week 1 Assignments
Are you ready for Year 2 of the GOAT on FOX? We are. So, in the words of Tom Brady: Let's f***ing go. The seven-time Super Bowl winner will be back in the broadcast booth for FOX in 2025, serving as its lead NFL game analyst. He'll call games alongside play-by-play announcer Kevin Burkhardt again, with Erin Andrews and Tom Rinaldi continuing to serve as the sideline reporters for FOX's top NFL announcing crew, as the network unveiled its full announcer lineup for the 2025 season on Friday. Brady, Burkhardt, Andrews and Rinaldi will help ring in the NFL's 32nd season on FOX when they'll be on the call for the New York Giants-Washington Commanders game (Sept. 7, 1 p.m. ET) in Week 1. A week later, they'll be on the call for last year's Super Bowl rematch when the Philadelphia Eagles travel to take on the Kansas City Chiefs in America's Game of the Week (Sept. 14, 4:25 p.m. ET). Brady, Burkhardt, Andrews and Rinaldi were also on the call for the Eagles' blowout win over the Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX. Play-by-play voice Joe Davis and analyst Greg Olsen will be paired for the second straight year as well, with longtime NFL on FOX reporter Pam Oliver joining them on the sidelines. They'll be on the call for the San Francisco 49ers-Seattle Seahawks game (Sept. 7, 4:05 p.m. ET) in Week 1. Those Week 1 matchups will be preceded by "FOX NFL Sunday" at noon ET, which has been the No. 1 NFL studio pregame show for the last 31 seasons. Curt Menefee returns as host, with Hall of Famers Terry Bradshaw, Howie Long and Michael Strahan continuing their roles as regular analysts on the show. Rob Gronkowski will also be a part of the desk for select weeks, while Jay Glazer continues in his role FOX's NFL insider. "FOX NFL Kickoff" will enter its 13th season as well, airing in its usual 11 a.m. ET time slot. Host Charissa Thompson will be joined by Hall of Famer Charles Woodson and former NFL star Julian Edelman on the desk, while "The Herd's" Colin Cowherd will also contribute to the show. The show will also broadcast from a new studio in 2025, which will contain the same XR/AR technology seen on "FOX NFL Sunday," 54 million LED lights, eight tracked cameras and 40 real-time render engines driving the set. The enhanced technology will allow the set backdrop "to mimic the visuals of any NFL stadium," according to a release. As for the rest of the NFL on FOX game announcers, most of the announcing lineups remain the same from 2024. The only change is that reporter Allison Williams will move from covering college football games to covering NFL games on FOX, joining play-by-play announcer Kevin Kugler and analyst Daryl "Moose" Johnson. They'll be on the call for the Cincinnati Bengals-Cleveland Browns game (Sept. 7, 1 p.m. ET) in Week 1. As for other Week 1 assignments, Kenny Albert, who is FOX's longest-tenured NFL announcer, former NFL Pro Bowler Jonathan Vilma and reporter Megan Olivi will call the Tampa Bay Buccaneers-Atlanta Falcons game (Sept. 7, 1 p.m. ET). Longtime FOX broadcaster Chris Myers, three-time Super Bowl champion Mark Schlereth and reporter Jen Hale will call the Carolina Panthers-Jacksonville Jaguars game (Sept. 7, 1 p.m. ET). Finally, Adam Amin, former NFL quarterback Mark Sanchez and reporter Kristina Pink will be on the mic for Cam Ward's NFL debut when the Tennessee Titans take on the Denver Broncos (Sept. 7, 4:05 p.m. ET). Former NFL Vice Presidents of Officiating Mike Pereira and Dean Blandino will also continue their roles as rules experts, with one of them pitching in for every NFL on FOX game throughout the 2025 season.

Caution flag: Soggy scenes from MLB Speedway Classic at Bristol between Reds and Braves
As American as hot dogs and apple pie: a rain delay during a summer baseball game. The MLB Speedway Classic was no match for Mother Nature's schedule, with Bristol Motor Speedway getting drenched by multiple storm fronts that moved through the area. Both Atlanta Braves and Cincinnati Reds fans and the teams have been left to wait it out, hoping for any sign of a letup, while the grounds crew does their best to keep the field as playable as possible. "It kind of a bummer," noted FOX Sports broadcaster Kevin Burkhardt Tomorrow's another day, though, which happens to be when the game will resume — at 1 p.m. EDT.
